On the night of the first football game, I was supposed to meet up with a new friend I've never met before. I only talked to him online but he went to my school. So I saw him and called him over. Let me just say it was pretty chilly that night. And when he hugged me it was like warmth insulated in me coming from him. From that moment on Gabriel became one of my best friends. When we walked away from each other, my friend Julie said, "Who's that? He's kind of cute." I told her "Yeah he really is." Then Gabriel looked back smiled and kept walking. I told Julie that I called dibs on him. As time passed I didn't realize how much my feelings for him were growing. He was my best friends and we shared some things in common. He was and still is a really kind person. I remember giving him the little Pom Pom I got at the 1st pep rally. Then I had to realize that he was my best friend, and falling for him wouldn't be a good idea, especially because we wouldn't even have a best friend relationship if he knew I liked him.
