Start from the beginning

I quietly unlock the door and step inside. A stench of blood hits my nose when I reach the basement stairs. I slowly and quietly begin to walk down the dirty stairs. I pull my gun out and take the safety off when I hear a sound.

I continue my way down the stairs and open the door there, I pass a few empty and broken cells. But stop outside a big black door to my left. It's locked with a padlock. Raising my gun, I shoot the lock making it snap open.

I pull the lock away and push the door open. My eyes lock onto the little boy in the corner of the room with a few bruises on his body. I take my jacket off and run towards him.

"Aunt Soph." He cries as I pull the jacket onto his cold body.

"Shh. . . I'm here." I rock him as he cries into my chest. Pulling away I say, "we need to get out of here Jacob. Come on."

I help him up and we leave the room and get up the stairs. Opening up the door, I glance around before pulling him out with me. Just as we reach the main door, Mark steps outs with an evil grin on his face.

I push Jacob behind me as he pulls out a gun. I hold my gun up the same time he does.

"Let us go." I grit out. "And I'll let you live."

"As long as you die, Sophia, I'll die a happy man." He chuckles.

"Then say goodbye," I smirk and shoot him. Another gunshot goes off but I pay no attention to it, I continue shooting him until I run out of bullets.

His body drops to the floor, Dead.

"Come on Jacob," I say grabbing his hand walking out.

"Your bleeding." He says pointing to my hip. I look down and the pain hits me like a heatwave.

"I'll be alright," I say and put him in the car. I grab the sore jacket I brought with me and put it on. Making sure it covers the wound. I'll take care of it later.

The drive back to Collin mansion is painful. My hip was throbbing, I used a cloth I have in this car to help stop the bleeding and it was pretty hard driving with one hand.

When I park outside, before getting out the car I glanced up at a sleeping Jacob. I smile at his cute, adorable little face, but then my eyes catch the bruises making me clench my fists.

I exit the car with a few winces and manage to pick him up. He was heavy but I didn't want to wake him up.

When I make it to the living where there was louring shouting going on, my head began to spin. The shouting made Jacob wake up and he jumped out arms when he realised I was dizzy.

"Mommy," Jacob yelled and ran towards Harper when we went into the living room. She engulfed him into a huge with Jake and the others.

"Where did you find him?" Alex asked me.

"You don't worry about that," I said I'm his direction, clutching the jacket closer to me.

"Did you get hurt?" Danny asks as he walks into the room and stands next to me.

"No," I whisper.

"The blood on you, tells me otherwise." He whispers.

"It's not my blood."

"The whose is it?"

"Marks."

"You killed him?" Carter asks me.

I nod my head as to say yes.

As I was about to turn around to leave the room, a wave of dizziness hits me and the pain in my hip intensifies. I grip on to Danny's arm.

"You alright?"

"Yeah, just a bit dizzy."

"You should sit down," Jake says from behind me.

"I will, in my room," I say and walk again but I stumble and was about to hits the floor before Danny's arms caught me. His hand was on my hip where I was hurt making me let out a very loud wince.

He grabbed me in his arms bridal styles and carried me to the sofa. He laid me down and looked at me before he lifted my jacket and top up and grimaces.

"Shit, get the first aid kit." He yells at Caden.

"What the hell Sophia," Jake yells coming to my side. I close my eyes and breathe in and out when Danny begins to clean around the wound.

"I need to remove the bullet, Sophia." He tells me, I nod knowing what's about to come.
