When you left
She seemed to have gone dead
I was the one who picked up the pieces
The girl I knew had passed away
And in its place. A lifeless corpse
I don't know who she is anymore

Continuous girl's nights because
Alcohol could make her forget.
Before she couldn't drink but now
It seems to be on her last resort.
Liquor becomes her concluding morning breath
"One more drink"- she doesn't stop
And think. Her hips sway senselessly in the club
Immersed  in a circle of ill-intended men
Then she looks at me
Saying, "He was the one. If he didn't leave I wouldn't do this"
I didn't save her then because
I couldn't

For 10 years. Almost a lifetime
She loved you. She was in love with you
Ready to marry you. She had made that bed. You sold her a dream
And she believed the lie. There are times where she goes to hide and cry.
She's traumatized
The love you ripped away from her soul
I'm so scared she'll never find it again
I have to understand why
