Looking at all these disgusting rich girls, flaunting their money makes me nauseated. I looked around me and all I saw were moving yellow blobs, making the feeling of the hot bile climb my throat even more prominent in the cool weather.

These uniforms are so atrocious they would make better burning fuel than wood, my god. I may not be in the fashion industry of this world, but something has to be done about these uniforms.

I looked around, seeing if there was an alternative to this ugly, burnable, disgusting dress, my eyes landing on a short brown haired girl wearing the boys uniform. She was surrounded by girls, threatening to run her over, hearts radiating off their bodies. The throng of girls screamed and yelled happily, most saying an equivalent of, "I love you Haruhi!" or "Please marry me Haruhi!"

Okay, are these girls lesbians?

The exceedingly popular 'Haruhi' and I locked eyes, a soft smile framing her face. She tried pushing through the crowd, girls practically clinging to her thin arms. "Excuse me," she muttered desperately, "I have someone to greet."

Mumbling and chatter rose up as eyes moved from Haruhi to me. Reluctantly, the girls released Haruhi from their death-like grip.

A small scowl formed on my face when people spoke up with degrading comments that were directed my way. The majority were derogatory towards both my height and Haruhi's decision to speak to a 'low-life.' A few of the nicer comments were of a comparison between me and two other students.

Haruhi neared with a bright smile, oblivious to the comments being tossed around by the group of students behind her. She towered over my small frame and greeted me with a small "hello" and an "are you new here?"

I smirked, and began to speak slowly in English, "I'm Aki Suoh, and I'm living in Japan from now on. I'm from London, England. I heard my father is the chairman here. Do you think you can direct me to his office? "

To my surprise, she answered back, "U-uh I only... Under-understand a little English?" She said slowly in the foreign language in more than a question than a statement, "b-but I understood what you... Said."

I smiled, "It's alright I know Japanese. I was only testing you." I chuckled, waving my hand dismissively. "Just attempting to see if they teach English here as they stated in the pamphlet. It would be lovely to converse in my native language sometime in the future."

She sighed in relief and grasped my hand, "It's a pleasure to meet you Aki-san. Welcome to Ouran Academy." I glanced down at our intertwined hands with slight confusion.

"Thank you for the warm welcome, but in general don't the Japanese go for a more bow and handshake as a greeting?"

Her face flushed a bright pink from panic. "I..." Her voice faltered. "I was attempting a more western attempt, was it awkward?"

My grip around her hands tightened only slightly in reassurance. "It was lovely, thank you." I flashed my first smile at her and unlatched hands. "Do you mind taking me to the grand entrance in the main building?"

"Gladly." Haruhi returned my smile.

We walked in comfortable silence, the chattering of students around us filling the front courtyard. I pushed it to the background as white noise.

"Miss?" Haruhi's steps fumbled and she nearly tripped. "Y-yes?" Her face was a grimace.

"What is your name?" We stepped into the cooled main building, pausing at the grand staircase.

"Fujioka, Haruhi. Class 1-A." She bowed slightly.

"So," I decided to be straightforward, "care to explain how you achieved the ability to wear the boys uniform when it's quite obvious you're a girl?"

The poor girl almost choked. "Well, you see..." She trailed off with an awkward look. "I got roped into a club because I broke an 8 million yen vase. Now I'm working with them in order to pay it off. It requires me to be a boy."

I nodded slowly. "A secret, hmm?"

Haruhi nodded quickly.

"Don't worry, it's safe with me."

-

I stepped near my classroom door, the sound of people chatting, girls laughing, and the faint click of keys on a computer filled my ears out in the corridor.

I opened the door with a click and stepped in, my small heeled shoes making my entrance much louder than I wished. The teacher looked up from his PC and smiled, one that did not look sincere, even in the slightest.

I quickly observed the teacher's stiffened posture and grimace-like smile. I raised an eyebrow at the elder man and stepped in completely, shutting the door behind me with a bang that made students flinch. I paused by the man's desk.

"I see your father gave you a welcoming gift." The teacher passed comment on my new outfit with a judging eye.

After continuous begging to my father, he finally caved in and ordered one of his maids to give me a high waisted black and white sailor outfit, with a pair of no show socks and Mary Janes.

"Yes," my voice was cold and hard, just as well as my piercing eyes.

"W-why don't you go sit next to Haruhi-kun then?" he stuttered, pointing at the girl I met earlier. We passed a shared smile before I proceeded to walk to the desk behind her.

I turned back and glared at the teacher just as he buried his face back into his computer, typing away. I observed the students in my class, glaring at those who made eye contact with me. Before Haruhi could turn around to say something the teacher slammed his laptop shut and proceeded with class.

She turned around with a defeated sigh.

All throughout the lesson, three boys stared at me, my discomfort and anxiety levels spiking. Two boys were ginger-haired twins, while the other, who seemed as if he was too old for this grade level, was an exact rendition of me.

I sighed and leaned back into my chair. People these days will do anything to claim that they're my long lost brother for the payout.

When school finally ended, I packed up all my notes from each class and put them in my folder. As I was about to leave, Haruhi leaned against my desk waiting for me. I shoved my Shiba Inu pencil case into my shoulder bag.

"Care to explain why you're staring and waiting?"

"Follow me."

Halfway down the empty corridor, I paused. "Are you kidnapping me?"

"You'll see," Haruhi pulled me along by the wrist as we walked what seemed to be a good mile through the maze of this school.

"You're very reassuring, you know," my voice was quiet while I allowed myself to be dragged.

We came to two large oak doors and when she opened them my heart dropped at the realisation of what poor Haruhi got herself into.

"Welcome!" Multiple voices said while rose petals flew everywhere.

"Oh god, It's a host club," was all I could muster, before I choked on a heavily scented rose petal.
