Missing Eyes

I miss the color of eyes that brought beauty to the skies
I miss the light in your iris that took over me like a virus

I miss the mirror of your soul more valuable then coal
I miss the sense of wonder and all the secrets they hid under

More beautiful then rose petals in bloom, your eyes would draw the attention of the whole room
More rich then gold with the uncanny ability to make me feel bold

How they could be so fierce and yet so kind, how they would take over my mind
I'd give anything to see your eyes, but I'd have better luck touching the skies

Every color of a dark rich brown can turn my smile into a frown
For they remind me of you and oh how I wish it wasnt true

I miss your eyes and I miss our last goodbye
To the grave I'll carry your glare as the love in me burns like a bright flare
