Magic

Love is a chemical. That's what I've been told
It's a drug in your brain that makes you bold
That part is true
True to some but I don't know who
To me love is inexplicable like magic
So powerful it can make your life grand or tragic
Your eyes casted me in a spell
My heart was bound it began to swell
Love unknown to me begin to pour out
So much love I couldn't hold it in I had to shout
To the heavens in the sky to hell beneath the sea
How your eyes filled my heart with glee
But your magic wasn't pure it was rare
Your warm eyes turned into a cold stare
The same fire that fueled my heart
Is the same flame that burned my soul apart
You left my life and went your way
Holding the ashes I cried for you to stay
Yes I knew you hurt me and didnt care
Least that's what I tell myself to not miss your glare
My world, my galaxy, you was it my dear
It's been 3 years and still my biggest fear
Is that I wasn't able to love you and share the days we've lost
I gave my heart away but at what cost?
Your magic was strong I'm still trapped under your spell
But the love I feel is an endless well
Now the magic of love flows through my veins
When I lost you I belived I had nothing to gain
But I found that flame you left burning inside me
And now I use it to reach my destiny
Though the magic from your eyes I will miss
This power inside me truly exist
That I'm no longer a puppet on your strings
My heart. No longer a slave. Freedom rings
