As Connor neared the end of the interrogation, the android started banging his head on the table erratically, causing everyone to run to the room.

"Calm down!" Connor yelled to the android.

Yeah, cause that's gonna work.

I ran up to him and tried pulling him backward to stop, when he shoved me away grabbed out his gun, and shot twice.

"FUCK!" I fell to the ground immediately, and my vision started to blur. Connor ran up to me, and put pressure to my chest to stop the blood from flowing.

"Shit, Sam!" Hank yelled. Everyone was in a panic, and the ringing in my ears kept increasing.

"KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!" STAY AWAKE!" Connor ordered as he picked me up, and started speed walking. Everyone was yelling-- and I tried my best to stay awake-- but it all just kept fading.. Darker, and darker..

Connor's POV

Everything happened all at once, and Connor panicked as he seen Samantha's shirt soak up the blood from the wound.

He ran to her, and tried his best to stop the bleeding as he yelled and picked her up. He scanned her, just to be safe.

29% Chance of Survival

He wasn't suppose to let either of his partners get hurt. He wasn't suppose to let any human get hurt, but here he was, sitting in the back seat of Hank's car, his hands pressuring the wound on Samantha's chest with his tie. Connor could have sworn he seen Hank let a tear slip.

They waited outside of the ER room for a few hours, and were finally let in. Of course they didn't sit there the entire time, Hank had to get a drink (returning with a flask, 73% full of whiskey) and Connor bought some food for Samantha, knowing it was her favorite kind after scanning the stuff on her desk that past day.

They both waited patiently by her bed, until Connor noticed her index finger move.

"Lieutenant! Look." Hank stood up immediately, and Connor noticed a hidden smile beneath his frown. This confused Connor. He couldnt tell whether Lieutenant was happy, or upset about the fact that Samantha was alive.

Connor was.. The least to say: relieved, she had woken. He wouldn't want his mission being interrupted for too long.

Sam's POV

I opened my eyes, and all I seen was white.

Am I dead??

I let my eyes adjust, and realized it was just the lighting in the hospital room I was in.

Dammit.

"Lieutenant! Look." I heard Connor's familiar voice yell. It felt nice to hear it.

Hank and Connor stood by my side as I soaked in my surroundings. Hank looked upset, and that made me a bit sad.

"What's wrong, Hank?" I asked, hoping I didn't anger him in some way.

"You scared me half to death, Sam! Next time don't get so involved. For everyone's sake." He folded his arms, and sat in the chair next to my bed. "I'm glad you aren't dead though." He finished off.

"Wow, Hank," I started, "That's the nicest thing you have ever said to me." He laughed and shook his head.

"Lieutenant has never said anything kinder than that? But you guys are partners; how can you--"

"It was a joke, Connor." I smiled as I tried to sit up.

"God dammit!" Connor pushed me back gently, after hearing me wince from pain.

"I'm sorry, but death isn't a joke; and if you want to get better, you must rest. Your stress level is 76%, and causing more physical pain to yourself will only make it rise." Connor stated matter-of-factly as he tucked me in. Hank looked very amused.

"Connor, I have to piss!" I tried sitting up again, and this time he let me.

"Piss.. I dont understand. What is piss?" He asked.

"She's gotta pee, Connor. Jesus Christ." Hank shook his head, and I laughed at Connor's confusion.

"Thank you, Lieutenant." He said as he started putting his arms under my back and legs.

"What are you doing?? Put me down!" I screeched as he picked me up bridal style.

"I'm taking you to go.. piss. Am I wrong?" Connor questioned. I laughed, and hurt myself worse as I did so.

He set me on the toilet, and left the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

"Have a good piss!" He yelled cheerfully. My face turned red, as I lifted my gown up.

I struggled, but I managed.

Once I was done, I called Connor to come help me walk back to the bed. No, I wasn't helpless, but the more I moved, the more it strained my chest; and wooh, did that hurt like a butt cheek on a stick!

Connor's POV

Once Samantha was back in bed, Connor noticed her stress levels go down a small bit.

He was almost anxious to sit by the bed, and bring the percentage down more, somehow-- but he couldn't be anxious. He's just a machine after all. He did, however, want her to feel better. For her health's sake.

While Connor was processing everything, he remembered the food he had bought for her. She will definetely feel better after this.

"Samantha. I ordered your favorite food down in the cafeteria." Connor grabbed the plate, and handed it to her.

She smiled, and gently took it from his hands (probably because she didn't want to hurt herself more than she already had.)

"Thank you, Connor. That was so nice." She moved the food around with the fork, a smile plastered on her face.

"No need to thank me. I just want you to feel better so we can finish our mission." Connor said without missing a beat.

He was missing something though, and this confused him. He stood next to Hank, and tried to figure it out.

This resulted in him meeting Amanda once again. He knew she could tell him what was missing; she knew more than he did, after all.

He just didn't want this small mishap to interfere with his mission.
