Friday, 8th of April.

"Derelinquetur terra," a pause as Michael blew out a long, steady breath to slow down the frantic beating of his heart before he continued, "my own powers call for me to leave, they show me a whisper of danger present in these woods. An ancient power is present here and I don't like it." Michael's words weren't more than a whisper, however they seemed to echo off of the trees and into the depth of the forest beyond sending an unpleasant shiver down his spine.

"I can feel it too, in the wind, it means no harm to those that won't disturb it." Calum added as he buried his hands into his pockets and gazed through the thick dark green trees where a thick dark grey fog had settled, making travelling through there extremely hard with the limited vision that the fog would cause.

Ashton nodded in agreeance, despite his powers being next to useless- unless he decided to set all the trees on fire- he could still feel the lingering presence of an ancient entity. It sent shivers down his spine, as it did with the other boys.

"How do we plan to find this house that Harper mentioned?" Calum asked as his eyes scanned their surroundings like a hawk. His brown furred magehound, Ace, leaned on his hind legs as if preparing itself to pounce on any potential attackers. Michaels' wise magehound, Cato, was the same as his mouth curled up in a snarl, showing off his sharp teeth that could rip apart a human in an instant.

Ashton sighed as he anxiously ran his finger through the black fur of Tenebris, a dark killing machine that rarely showed his good side to anyone but Ashton, and sometimes the boys. The duo often had matching tempers, and perhaps that's why they were so perfect together. Ashton had no idea what their plan was, a part of him felt it wrong that Luke wasn't here, and it seemed to be messing with his thoughts. Instead, Ashton looked to Michael with a raised eyebrow as if to ask, well, what's the plan?

Michael had no idea, yet he didn't want the boys to know that. He had to be strong, be a leader and use his element to aid them in rescuing Luke safely, but for some reason he felt disconnected from his element and his own mind. Something wasn't right about this place. He just needed to find out what exactly was wrong. . .

Much to his annoyance and astonishment a fourth voice quietly called out from behind them. "Are you guys just going to stand around all day or get your brother back?" The amusement was evident in her tone, however that didn't hide the traces of fear and sadness that were evident too. Harper was stronger than people gave her credit for.

Michael couldn't help but to feel slightly grateful that Harper and Aloysius had arrived- despite their protests- because it saved him from having to answer Calum's question. It was selfish of him to think that, but Michael couldn't help himself, and Cato seemed to realise what was happening as he nuzzled his owner and offered the support that Michael desperately needed.

"We can't go in there without a plan and a clear route, we may have to wait till the fog settles or Michael decides to use his powers." The last of Ashton's words were clearly aimed at Michael and held a tone of frustration towards the green-eyed lad.

Michael sighed, his eyes glowed a bright, blinding green as he focussed on his element and called for it to help. The fog seemed to only thicken as Michael put more power in, sweat starting to form on the line of his brow.

"Stop!" Michael vaguely heard Harper's panicked voice call out as he blinked and slowly refocussed back into reality, his body swayed slightly from exhaustion at the raw power he had used.

Harper rushed forward with Aloysius hot on her heels, what the hell was Michael doing? She breathed in deeply and set her hands on his shoulders and tried to get his attention, doing her best to ignore the growling magehound beside her. Harper panicked as Michael fell forward, all his weight falling onto her small body causing the duo to fall to the moist, dirt ground. Harper thanked the heavens that Ashton and Calum quickly reached out and grabbed Michael before he could suffocate her with his weight, not that he weighed much but with her hand oddly twisted under her she didn't want to be stuck in a painful position for longer than necessary.
