“Thomas you cheated!” I yelled as we finished our game of air hockey. “Keep telling yourself that darling.” He told me, his voice sounding smooth and calm while mine sounded pissed off. “One more round!” “The deal was, if I beat you, you give me all your tickets.” I mumbled swear words and handed him my tickets. His eyes widened as he now had 6,000 tickets. “We’ve been here for half and hour and you got this many tickets?!” He asked making me chuckle. I was amazing at games. “No you aren’t. You hacked the games to win all these tickets.” I glared at John who slowly stepped back.

We soon got kicked out because Peggy (Like that wasn’t obvious) decided to almost break the biggest machine. That girl is high like, all the time. Jefferson has actually been pretty nice and for once I don’t want to kill him. Except when he beat me in every single fucking game in the arcade. Then, I wanted to bite his throat out.

Laf decided our last stop would be to get ice cream and that brings us here. I was currently asking Thomas questions as we sat at a picnic table. John was talking to James while Thomas wouldn’t take it seriously.

“Okay, okay! How about...favorite book?” He thought for a moment. “The Window maybe…?” “Sister, sister.” I simply said. He stared at me confused and I gasped. “You’ve never read that book?” I asked. “Never. What’s it about?” “It’s about a woman whose sister comes to visit her and soon she realized it isn’t her sister.” I told him. “I’ll have to look into it.” Thomas isn’t as bad as yesterday. “Hey, why did you argue with me yesterday?” “I...I don’t want to talk about it.” He looked down as I sighed. “Sorry..I can go-” “No it’s fine. Just some family drama.” He said smiling at me and I couldn’t help but smile back.

“Voici ta merde. Paye moi.” Thomas and I laughed as everyone stared at Lafayette confused. “Here’s your shit.” He said and got Herc and Peggy to help him pass out the ice cream. “This has been fun. We should do this more often.” I didn’t expect everyone to agree. “Where are Eliza and Maria?” Angelica asked as Thomas and I smirked. “They left.” “Why?” “They were...busy.” I snickered as we tried not to burst out laughing. It took Angelica a few seconds before she blushed. “I hope not.”

We stayed and talked. We took up three picnic tables. Angelica, Peggy, Lee, Freddy, James and John at one, Lafayette, Hercules, Maria, Eliza, Samuel, Philip. At the last table I sat with Thomas because we were lonely fucks. I looked behind Thomas and saw the sun setting. “Race to the pond!” I yelled and ran. Everyone followed while throwing away their empty ice cream cups or eating their cones. I was the fastest and sat at the bench before Hercules came and watched. I watched Thomas take out a camera. After we went to the arcade Thomas grabbed a bag and I’m guessing this was why.

He went back a few steps and motioned for me to join everyone at the edge of the pond. He stepped back and before I knew it, a flash went off. Thomas’ picture printed out and he began shaking it. He sat between Maria and I and handed me the picture. You could tell who was who due to their body type. It was all bright then we were just silhouettes in front of the pond that had the sunset reflected onto it. “C-can I keep this?” I asked him. He blushed a bit before nodding at me. “This is a lovely picture.” Soon everyone crowded around me and looked at the picture. “The rest of our lives start here guys.” I told them with a smile. I couldn’t help but stare at the picture. In the picture, Peggy sat at the far right holding Herc while he held Lafayette close to him, Angelica sat next to Laf and her her neon pink headband could be seen, John sat holding up his camera to take a picture of him and pip, James had his arms up and I knew he was smiling, Freddy, Lee, and Samuel were all staring straight ahead holding hands, next was Eliza and Maria, they both had hourglass figures and were sitting on their knees. Then there I was. The light seemed to flash on me a bit more, half of my face was visible and you could actually see I was smiling. My hair was wavy as I was turned to the side.

He captures everyone and it was amazing. There was only one thing missing. “Thomas?” I asked as he hummed in response. “Can we take a group photo, with you in it?” He nodded as we all got up and crowded around him so his camera could capture everything.

The sun was just about going down and everything was perfect. I think it’s gonna be a good year. I was next to John as he held me by the waist. Herc held Peggy’s hand while kissing Lafayette on the cheek. Samuel, Freddy and Lee were laughing. In the back there were Angelica and Philip. Eliza was in front of Maria as she held her close. James held onto Thomas’ hand. Something inside of both Thomas and I caused us to look at each other. And then the photo was taken. Everyone started walking back to the college including Thomas and I. I don’t know why I wanted to look at him. He shook the picture and looked at it before blushing. “What?” I asked trying to look at the picture but he put it in his bag. “Nothing.” He cleared his throat and didn’t say another word to me. Everyone walked back to their dorm with their roommates as I grew curious about the picture. He unlocked our door and stepped inside, walking to his room and locking his door. I sighed and went to my room. Why didn’t he show me the picture?
