Chapter 7: Proving Myself

Marinette's POV

(A/N: Adrien is still singing this even though it's Marinette's POV)

I got my horse and stared at the ground. I let my family down. I dishonored my family's name.

I guess they are right, a girl will never fit in the army I thought and walked back to my tent to pack up.

I pack and pack until the night falls. I have to make sure I brought Tikki with me. She's the only friend I have left beisdes Alya and Nino.

While I was walking with my horse and my things of course, I saw a shadow in front of me, A tall one. I looked up to see it's the tall wood with the arrow at the top. I stared at it. I looked at the gold weights beside it.

Should I do it? Should I try to get it? I mean I am already out of the army but I can still have a chance to prove myself? I'll show them that a girl like me can fight! We are all equal! Doesn't mean their boys doesn't mean they are better than girls! I will prove to them that girls can do what guys can do! They can fight! I thought and got the gold weights and tied the bands in my wrist

I tried it again but I ended up falling in my butt. I stood up and tried it again but no use but I stared at the bands and think.

Instead of using my hands why not the bands? I could tie the band around the wood and just let my feet do all the work! I thought and tie the bands around the tall wood and started to let my feet to do all the work.

After like what? An hour or maybe more. I am finally almost there! Im almost there to get the arrow. I stopped for a while to see the sun is setting and I heard the horns so loud making the campers waking up.

I didn't even hesitate to continue climbing up. The campers even Kim started to noticed that Im almost there. They all started to cheer for me. Them cheering for me boosted up
my spirit. I kept on going.

Go Linc!

Get that arrow!

I was happy for them. I love it when they cheer for me. I'm almost there just one big push I can get the arrow out of that wood.

While I was trying to get it I accidentally slipped making me fall back. Think I gave up? Think again. I went up again. No matter how my legs hurt and sweating to much I will get that arrow.
