My head fell limply onto Simon's shoulder, Clary and Gilbert were sat next to us, making me groan as they acted all romantic with each other, and by romantic, I definitely meant making out.

"Can we just leave them to it?" I whispered lowly, making it so only he could hear me speak. He chuckled and nodded his head as he stood up, dragging me with him as we walked over to the railings. The beaming sun was glowing down onto our faces.

With some amazing miracle, Simon could once more walk in the sun, he didn't burn, nor did he feel pain. It was almost like he was normal. "I don't think the sun has ever felt this good." I smiled, placing my hands onto the railings. Watching the sea below us move ever so slightly.

"Yeah." Simon said, his voice didn't hold the same excitement as mine did, it was more confused and upset. I didn't like that one bit. I slowly raised my hand and placed it over his. "Hey, look at us Simon, we're standing here, in the daylight may I add." I chuckled as he smiled slightly. "We're like normal people for once."

"It's funny how normal doesn't even feel normal anymore." Simon sighed, his gaze fixated onto the building in front of us, a few seconds later I felt his burning gaze settle onto my face, making me turn my head, gazing into his eyes. "I'm not even a normal Vampire, I'm a freak of vamp nature."

"You're not a freak, you're unique." I smiled while rubbing my thumb over his knuckles. "And that's coming from a girl who's not even a normal Shadowhunter."

"But don't you think there has to be some sort of downside?" Simon asked, leaning against the railings, his body now facing me.

"I'm sure we've already seen the downside, chéri." I frowned slightly, inhaling a long breath before continuing "I think it's finally time to start focusing on the upside."

"Our Bubbie Helen always says there are no handouts in life." Simon started, I remember Bubbie Helen telling us this. "-That everything comes with a price, yeah, I remember, but that's not necessarily true."

"What if I'm walking to the subway, and then next thing u know I'm a scorch mark on Ninth Avenue—"

"Woah, chéri, let's not think about something that morbid right now." I raised my free hand to stop him from speaking, my brown eyes staring into his. "Look, we've been through so much, lost so much, but now we have each other."

"We're Twins, no matter what our blood says, we'll always have each other." Simon smiled as he pulled me into his embrace as he hugged me tightly. "I love you." He whispered.

"I love you, too." I whispered back before we pulled away from each other. I turned my head to look over at the couple, they were still kissing, they must really like each other.
