Kay’s P.O.V

“Kay, you need to wake up and eat something,” a deep voice said, calling me out from my sweet dreams. I groaned in anger for I was dreaming a good dream and plus I was so warm and comfortable. “Kay, come on, you need to wake up.” I rolled over in the bed and ignored the voice as I buried my face in the sheets that smelled so good.

“Five more minutes dad,” I muttered and tried to go back to sleep, but stopped trying when it hit me … this wasn’t my bed … the voice was not my dad’s… Slowly, I lifted my head and saw that I was not in my room.

“Finally, sleeping beauty awakens,” my head jerked to the voice I heard and saw a familiar looking blond haired boy. Just then it all rushed back to me - being drugged and kidnapped. All the information and memories made my head spin and I started to get a splitting headache. “The headache is probably from the sedative. Sorry about that,” spoke the guy I remember was named Jeremy.

“Sorry for which one? Drugging or kidnapping me?” I quizzed as I looked around the room.

I noted that I was in a room that a male must live in, due to the thick, woodsy smell that lingered in the room. I saw posters from Call of Duty and Minecraft to Halo and Final Fantasy, even other games that I’d never heard of plastered all over the walls. There were piles of clothes in some corners of the room. I looked at the walls and saw they were navy blue and his bed sheets were white with a navy blue comforter. Wood floors covered the ground and there was only three pieces of furniture in the room. A Chester drawer, which was located on the far side of the room, a nightstand that was on the right side of the bed and there was a white wicker chair on the left side of the bed.

“I’m sorry for both,” he spoke. I looked over at him and studied the guy before me. Even though I just met him my gut was telling me that he was being honest.

“I have a question,” I admitted to him. He nodded as to say I could ask, “Why did you keep trying to coax me to leave with you when you drugged me already. Why didn’t you just wait till the drug took effect and then kidnapped me … Why try to get me to come with you willingly?” I inquired.

Jeremy, who was standing at the foot of the bed, sighed audibly and walked over to the wicker chair that was by the left side of the bed. His brown eyes focused on me as he opened his mouth to speak. “I wanted you to come with me willingly. I don’t believe in this whole kidnapping scheme my brother is doing. In fact, I really hate it and I would have turned him down when he told me he wanted me to kidnap you … but he was going to do it anyways. I know my brother and he is not a good guy … I didn’t want you to go through what he plans to do … I just want you to be safe,” he said.

“Are you telling me my friends are in danger?!” I cried out to him. His eyes flicked to me.

“I-I … You shouldn’t worry over what you can’t help…”

“That’s bullshit, now you listen here and you listen real good. One of my friends is pregnant, and the other will paralyze your brother,” Jeremy furrowed his eyebrows. “My friend Savvy is a little not right in the head and if you have kidnapped her, she will flip.  And when she flips, trust me, you’re going to want to run for cover.”

“J.G didn’t kidnap Savvy, my brother, John is getting her.”

“You best pray for your brother. Wait, I wouldn’t pray, I would plan for his funeral … Who is kidnapping Maddy?” I questioned.

“Kay-”

“Who?!”

“...J.G.”

“You have to save her! She is pregnant!”
