July 18, 1984 (Day 28)I was standing right next to Frankie as we were watching Bon Jovi perform. It was their last show until August. I checked the time, it was a late show so it was 11 pm. They usually performed at around 8 pm. I had to leave soon.
"Frankie, I have to go. I know where my parents are...Washington D.C." I softly said.
"Do the boys know you're leaving in the middle of their show?" Frankie asked worryingly. I shook my head."I don't want them to know where I'm going. I promise I will come back. I just...need to know who my parents are. I...will be back I promise," I said. He looked hurt. He lifted his pinky finger and I looked at him weirdly.
"Pinky promise?" he said with a smirk. I smiled back and I lifted my pinky finger as well. "Pinky promise," I said.I rushed out of the stadium and into the bus. I grabbed my things. I made sure Rainbow was on my wrist, my mother's photo in my leather jacket, I found a bag laying around, so I grabbed it and placed my clothes in the bag. I looked once again in the mirror and I flattened my hair and adjusted my clothes a bit.
I glanced around the bus I spent almost an entire month in. It felt like home to me. A part of me wants to go to Washington DC and another part of me wants to stay with the boys. But I can't stay.
As I walked out, I heard Leah said, "Where ya going, sweetheart?"
I froze a bit, "Somewhere, don't tell the boys please, I will be back,"
"Don't be gone for too long, have fun!" Leah winked at me. I nervously nodded and I left the bus.
I walked to a bus stop. It took five minutes for a bus to come. I stepped in and I told them where I was heading to and I paid their fee from Jon's wallet. I sat near the back, the bus was a little empty but there were people asleep and others reading or glancing out the window.
I sat down and I closed my eyes. Goodbye, Jon, Richie, Alec, Tico, David, and Frankie. For now.
