CHAPTER 4

CHAPTER 4: TRUST

CODY'S P.O.V

After Isabelle finally stopped crying, i could tell be her slow breathing that she was sleeping. Picking her up was easy, she was very light, but after getting back to the car and trying to open the door, it was a little hard. I put her in the back seat of her car and then i got in the driver's seat. I took off towards her house. When she was leaving, Kyle and her new friend Drake wanted to go after ehr but i told them to stay and ran out after her. I think it has something to do with that new kid Ricky. I swear i he hurt her, i will literally kill him with my bare hands. I can't believe that Isabelle punched me! It hurt, but did she seriously not trust me?

I know those 4 guys she was talking to knew, so why sisn't she punch them and threaten them? I just know she didn't! Ugh, i'm just so confused. Why did she let me hold her in that clearing? Maybe beacuse i was the only one around? I don't know anymore! Whatever. I turned on the radio to a the CD she had in there and the song Pain from Three Days Grace came on. Huh, she has some good taste in music. After i arrived at her house, i picked her up and carried her inside. I saw a maid that looked about 19 who rushed over to us. Dang, Isabelle has a HUGE house and maids? She has it made!

The maid said,"Oh my, what happened?" I said,"She ran out of school and i followed her. After a while, she fell asleep."SHe nodded and said,"Do you know why she ran out of school?" I shrugged and said,"Well, all i know is that at the beginning of school, there were two new kids who she apparently knew. One's named Drake, the other Ricky." She smiled when i said Drake but her face paled when i said Ricky. She nodded and said,"Follow me." I followed her up a bunch of stairs until we came to this awesome room.

It was black and a dark green. The ceiling, doors, and carpet were black. The walls and dressor were black. There were 5 bean bag chairs, 2 black, 3 green. I set Isabelle on the bed and survayed the walls as the maid just left. On one wall, it said in black: Music Is A Passion, Not A Hobby, If You Don't Have Passion, You Are Missing Out. Wow. On another wall, in black it said: The Speed, The Adrenaline, The Passion, The Love, Is All Apart Of Racing, You Have to Love It To Be Good At It. I notice their was a saying on each wall. On the third wall, it said: Can't Isn't In My Vocabulary! I Don't Give Up, You Can't Never Do Nothing Unless You Try And Don't give up. On the last wall, it wasn't a saying. It was just her racing name. It was above her bed in big black fancy letters. Wow. I Sat down on the bed and covered up Isabelled with her black silk blanket. I noticed she has green silk sheets. I noticed something on the ceiling. In green letters, it said: Racing, Fighting, Being Meself, That Is My Life, And Without It, I'm Nothing. Wow. This girl is seriously strange, but in a good way.

I looked around her room again and noticed that she has a black desk, with a green lab top. She has a HUGE flat screen tv with a wii and Xbox 360. She has a DVD player and a bunch of movies. She has a bunch of books. On the green night table, she has a green Ipod with black speakers. I see she has a balcony. I went over and pulled back the black curtains. Wow, she lives near the woods. The view is of the woods. Oh and the balcony isn't painted white, it's green. She's obsessed with black and green.

I heard a door close and looked and saw the maid. She said,"Thank you for bringing Isabelle back. I am her personal maid Kerry." I shook her hand and said,"Cody." She smiled a half smile and said,"So Cody, what's your relationship with Isabelle?" I shrugged and said,"I'm not sure if we're friends or enemies." She nodded and studied me.

ISABELLE'S P.O.V

"So Cody, what is your relationship with Isabelle?" Wait, i'm back at home? I peeked and saw Cody shrug while talking to my personal maid Kerry. He said,"I'm not sure if we're friends or enemies." I pretended that i was still asleep. I heard Kerry abruptly say,"You like her." I wwas stunned and i'm sure Cody was too. He said,"N-n-no i don't! Why would you think that?" I heard her reply,"Because of the way your staring at her. You think she's unique and strange in a good way. I also see possesiveness, over protectiveness, and love in your eyes. You don't know it yet, but i can see you like her and already care about her. I know what your thinking, you barely know her, how can you like her? But it happened between her parents. her mother told me."

I was shocked. I hate Cody, well only because he seems like a jerk, but is he really. i mean he brought me back hom and held me while i creid. Is he so bad? I'm confused. Kerry said,"You may not admit it now, but i know your going to be together one day and that your already falkling in love, even after a day and a half. I just know it." I heard her walk out. After a second, i felt a side of the bed go down and then i felt lips on my forehead. Instantly, my forehead exploded with emotions. I felt sparks, it was like i was being shock, but in a good way. Then the lips were gone but i still felt the tingly feeling afterward. It felt like my insides were pudding. I felt him stroking my cheek and say,"Maybe i am falling for you, and maybe i want to." Then i felt the weight leave and heard him pacing my room. I just sat there and thought about everything.

CODY'S P.O.V

Maybe i want to fall for Isabelle. I just know she's different, but i'll try to get her to be my friend first and get close to her. I know that i care about her and i actually do believe in love at first sight, it happened with my parents, but this is more of love shortly after. I'm pacing her room waiting for her to wake up. What will i say to her? What should i say? Will she trust me to tell me what's wrong? Will she punch me and kick me out? Ugh, i don't know. I heard her stir and i started freaking out. Ok, deep breath, in then out. Ok i'm good She yawned and opened her eyes. She sat up and looked around confused and then looked at me. I knew she was acting confused, but why?

She said,"How did i get here?" I said,"I brought you home and then your maid Kerry came and brought me in here where i carried you too." She nodded and then was quiet. It was a silence where you could feel the tension. I walked over and sat next to her. I said,"So, would you like to tell me why you ran out of the school?" She looked up at me in fear, undecision, and pain. I could see pain in her eyes and it crushed me. I said,"You can trust me." She stared into my eyes that i knew projected trust to her. She nodded and opened her mouth to explain.

She explain all about Ricky and what he did to her and then how he almost killed her a week after she dumped him. She explained about the wreck two months later and about being in a coma. She explained it all from meeting Ricky to now. I was so mad when she was finished that i was shaking. I said,"I'm going to kill him. I'm going to kill by beaten him to death. He will pay." I was so freaking mad! But then i felt a delicate hand on my arm and looked down to see that Isabelle's face almost white. She said,"no, don't worry, i got this." Seeing her face broke me. It was twisted with fear, pain, regret, and pure agony. I just grabbed her and held hjer to my chest. I never wanted to let go.

But that changed when two people alked in her bedroom door....
