She looked at me confused before she responded, and Devon Jr smiled and then pushed pass my leg going in the house.

"Not to be rude but who are you?"

"You don't remember me?"

"No ma'am."

I shook my head, I just seen this girl not even a couple hours ago and she forgot who I am.

"I'm Rain."

"Oh girl you look different."

She said laughing as she gave me a hug and then Devon opened the door wider looking at us.

"Well hello to you too Devon."

"Are you coming to his basketball game tomorrow? The doctor said he should be able to play."

He asked as he ignored her comment.

"I'll see what I can do. You know I work late."

"Working late my ass, you know his game start at six and you get off at five you got a whole hour to get there."

"I don't want to argue with you today so bye Devon and Rain."

And with that she walked away going back to her car and driving off.

"Devon and Rain!"

"What Ma damn. You always yelling and shit."

"Boy shut the hell up and come in the kitchen."

I made sure the door was locked and we made our way to the kitchen.

"Sit down."

We did as told and she just stood there looking at us.

"I'mma only ask once so give me the honest truth. Did y'all sleep together?"

"No!"

We both said in unison quickly as she shook her head.

"Y'all two lying motherfuckers. Y'all going to hell for lying on a Sunday."

She started laughing and I let out a sigh and walked out the kitchen going to find the kids.

"Where were you at?"

Terrell asked as he got out the swimming pool.

"Out with Devon."

"Yes ma'am?"

Devon Jr said walking up to me.

"I didn't call you."

"But you said my name."

"Im sorry but I was talking about your dad."

"Oh ok. Can I go back and play now?"

"Of course."

I smiled as he ran back over to the boys, and they continued drawing with chalk.

"Where's Maloni?"

I asked Terrell as he laid on one of the beach chairs.

"Sleep. She said she didn't feel good and Cookie said it felt like she had a fever."

"Ok. I'm going to go check on her and keep a eye on the boys."

"I got this."

I walked back into the house going upstairs, to see where Maloni was. Once I found her she was peacefully sleeping, I checked her head temperature and it was normal so I left out the room.

"Rain?"

"Yes Cookie?"

"I don't want you to think I'm mad at you, but I do want you to know I'm slightly disappointed."

"Trust me it won't happen again."

"Girl I don't care what y'all do y'all grown. But I will tell you this, focus on yourself and your kids and don't let no one distract you, and that includes dick."

"Ok."

I said laughing as she walked away from me going to into her room as I made my way back downstairs.

Once I reached downstairs I heard knocking so I answered it, and got the shock of my life when I seen who stood there.
