Y/n's POV

"PLEAAAASSSEEEEEEE!"

"... No."

My face fell. "But why? Am I not worthy of learning magic?"

Lovise shook her head. "You know why. You don't have enough aura to do big spells."

I sighed. Once again my wish to learn magic from my friend had failed, despite being a huge magic believer!

No, I wasn't one of those Harry Potter geeks, I was just genuinely into anything out of the ordinary that science couldn't explain. And magic was perfect for me.

Lovise only sighed. She was clearly tired of me nagging her, but I was adamant to learning how to cast spells.

"PLEA-"

"Fine I will just shut up, will you?"

I cheered. "Thanks, Lovise! You're the best! I won't let you down, I promise!" I sprinted off to grab my f/c cape, and some snacks for my training.

Lovise's POV

I sighed. Although I was annoyed by her begging, I was somewhat glad she was persistent. I loved spending time with her, especially when she watched me do magic, with her cute face in awe, her eyes going all big and puppy-eyed, amazed. And to now be able to teach her? Not bad, not bad at all.

I set up the caldron, and decide on what spell she could do with her aura.

Hmmm. Maybe a potion would be best- oh and make it edible, too.

The potion I planned to teach her was how to summon f/f (favorite food), since she loved eating so much.

I pulled out the Food Spellbook from my magically infinite cloak pocket, summoned some scented candles, and a lighter.

Putting the candles in a circle around the cauldron, Y/n showed up again.

In an oversized f/c cape, she looked like a dork. A cute dork- my dork.

"Ready to learn!" She saluted. "What's my first lesson?"

"To summon f/f." And as soon as those words left my mouth, Y/n squealed. "And the benefit of this is that it won't drain all your aura. It's an easy, low-aura spell."

So, I told her what to pour, and what to say. "If you mess up the chant, you'll either make the caldron blow up or worse. So please, before you step in the circle, make sure you say these words correctly, ok?"

"Ok!" Her face fell slightly, contradicting her bubbly answer.

I nodded my head to ask.

Y/n furrowed her eyebrows.  "It's nothing... I'm kind of worried, though. I don't want anything to blow up!"

"You'll be fine," I reassured. "Just close your eyes and think of the meal. It is your goal to summon it."

She was hesitant, but soon entered the circle, and as I explained her each line of the summoning chant, she recited back perfectly. Soon a blast of white light shot upwards.

"O-OH NO, DID I MESS UP?! WHAT DO I DO?"

"You're fine!" I yelled back. "Now wave your hands like this," I made an X with my hands. "And summon your meal!"

She waved her arms and screamed, "BRING ME MY F/F, BITCH!"

...

Somehow, it worked, and the light died down, her favorite food right in front of her. "Yes bitch!" She cheered.

I resisted the twitch to facepalm. She was adorable, but yelling profanities at supernaturals was never a good habit. "Good job, for insulting the ghost that brought your food."

"Oh I did? Sorry, Mr. or Mrs. Ghost!"

I chuckled at her puppy-like face. "So, how does it feel?"

"I feel like a damn queen," She sassily replied, taking a bite of her food, face melting in euphoria. "Now I can do this with a caldron, candles, and a lighter. Thanks for teaching me, babe."

I glanced down at the floor, kind of embarrassed. I'd forgotten about all the supplies needed. "D-Do you want me to teach you how to do it without any material? I could teach you a high-level chant..."

"Yeah, sure! Then I'd be the food queen." She grinned, her h/c hair rippling in the wind. "After all, I'm a wizard, Harry!"

I rolled my eyes. "You don't even watch Harry Potter. Also, it's a false representation of magic."

"Ok, Lovise." Her eyes twinkled. "Let's get our magic on!"

The rest of our afternoon went by with Y/n making dad jokes about magic.

"Be careful with that wand," I warned.

"Pfft! What's it going to do?" Y/n scoffed as she shook the wand. "Blow up-" The wand let out a puff of black dust, slamming her to the wall.

"-on me?" She collapsed to the ground as I facepalmed. This was going to be a long day.

As the afternoon ended, Y/n and I were relaxing, eating the magical food she summoned.

"Do you like it?" She asked.

I nodded. "Yes. Although a bit bland, great work for your first day. I can't wait to train you again."

For some reason, she looked astonished at my response. "Oh." A dorky smile spread on her face. "So there's a next time?"

Oops.

"If you want," I answered. Her cute smile grew even more, as she hugged me.

"Thanks, Lovise. I love you."

I wrapped my arm around her waist. "Love you too."

She wiggled her eyebrows. "More than..." her voice dropped to a whisper. "butter?"

"Close call, but yes. More than butter." I smiled lightly.

"By like what, one percent?"

"No. A million." I gave her the small smile that she deserved. "Now shut up and kiss me, you stupid magician."

I pressed my lips against hers, and boy was I glad I could teach her magic.
