-Jess's Point of View-

During the day I was glad that my hospital room contained a large window with a partial view of the city, but in the mornings I didn't appreciate the sun hitting my sleepy face. My eyelids were still heavy from the lack of sleep I've been having due to the doctors constantly waking me up to check I was alright. I guess I should be grateful because of the care they have been showing towards me but I would really love to have some rest.

I opened my eyes and they landed on the nurse who was walking in through the door. We had briefly introduced ourselves the other day, her name being Carmen. What fascinated me the most was that she was Spanish, and I absolutely loved her language. She was, by far, the nicest of the employees here. Carmen always had a smile on her face, which exposed a majority of the wrinkles on her face due to old age. The tray she had been carrying was not placed in front of me.

I peered at the contents of the wooden tray and noticed a cup of tea and a plate with some toast. I smiled politely at Carmen and she took a seat at the end of my bed. I munched on my food as I waited for her to speak. She had a genuine, but sad, smile plastered on her kind face.

"I have good news, sweetie." She said enthusiastically and grabbing a hold of my hand. "You're going to be discharged today."

I know I should have been excited and happy to go home but I wasn't ready just yet. I didn't want to face Luke again, after all, I did give him a choice. What happens between us now is in his hands, and I hope he chooses the choice that appeals to both of us. I gulped loudly, ignoring Carmen's stare.

"What's wrong, hija?" She asked, placing her hand on top of mine and squeezing gently. I was glad I still remembered some Spanish words from the class mum had forced me to attend a few years ago. A lone tear dripped down my cheek and Carmen quickly brushed it away gently. "Dime."

"There's this boy and I don't know how to explain but it's complicated. I don't want to see him when I go home." I sobbed.

"Ai hija, este muchacho no es una razón para llorar. No te preocupes, sólo mantenga la cabeza en alto." Carmen advised, stroking my cheek.

"Thank you, for everything." I said, beginning to smile.

"Come, your friend is here to pick you up." She said.

Carmen extended her hand and helped me up. I was surprised I could stand on both my feet without tipping over. She gave me a long and sincere hug before reminding me to visit her when I have time. I smiled and headed towards the waiting room. Michael was there, at my request. I hadn't't wanted anyone else to collect me. Ashton was being weird around me, things were awkward with Luke, I barely spoke to Calum and I was the closest to Michael, which made him the most appealing choice.

"Jess, look at you!" Mikey exclaimed as he embraced me. I felt like a new born baby because of the way he treated me, but it was nice.

"How are you?" I asked, grinning at him. I noticed his hair was green now and it made me giggle a little. However, it seemed that Michael could work every color on the face of the Earth once it was on his head.
