Welcome to the MIDSEASON ELIMINATION ROUND of the 2018 WASTE THE NIGHT AWARDS!
Firstly, I want to give a massive THANK YOU to everyone participating in this one-of-a-kind fanfiction competition. Whether you are a judge, a competitor, or both, THANK YOU for being a part of this. Without your excitement and support, this first edition of Waste The Night would not be what it is today.
I have learned IMMENSELY about hosting awards since the launch. I've made a few mistakes along the way, but I see them as part of the learning experience. At the end of this whole competition, I'll definitely be asking for your opinions so I can improve Waste The Night in the event I decide to do these awards again in the future.

The next few parts of the book will be your TOP 7 stories in each category for Round 2. Because we didn't receive a high volume of entries, the Top 10 will now be a Top 7 list. Any category that has 7 or less stories, will all automatically move onto Round 2.
If your story has not moved forward, please do not feel discouraged. Writing can be a great medium for self expression and therapy. Continue to express, to write, to learn, and to practice this wonderful art form.
Regardless, your story is STILL in the running to win an award in the Vanguard Category. Yes, I've already begun reading your books. Some of you have noticed, because I do vote and/or comment as I read your stories.

If you would like to see your assessment forms, please shoot over a PM with your story name and the categories it is in. I'll double check with your judges before sending them over. Judges, if you're okay with having your assessment forms privately sent to authors, send me a PM or comment, and let me know... your username WILL NOT be attached to your form.
