Chapter 2

Meeting Jake Sully

Hak-guk's pov

I climb out of the capsule and look around seeing other people waking up and climbing out of their's.

"Good morning everyone you have all been in Cyro-sleep for five years! You will be thirsty and hungry! If you feel nauseous please use the emergency puke bags attached to the side of your capsule."

I look down and notice a bag sticking out of my capsule. I roll my eyes and look around for some water or food. Not finding any I pull a guy in a space suit near me. "Hey where can I eat?" He points to a pod a little bit away from me. "Just open it and grab some crackers and a water." He floats away to open other capsules.

I make my way over to the pod and crack it open seeing all sorts of different flavor granola bars. I grab a chocolate chip one along with my water and make my way back to my capsule. I didn't realize I was hungry until the man had mentioned it so I ripped the packaging open and scarfed down my granola. "When drinking the water be careful or you might puke it back up if you drink too fast."

I unscrew the bottle cap and take small sips which really helps heal my dry throat. "Hey you think you can pass me that bag?" I look over and see a white male pointing to my puke bag. "Mine floated away." I grab the bag and hand it off to him. "Thanks." He grabs the bag and holds it over his mouth looking nauseous. I float back to the pod and grab another water bottle along with another chocolate chip granola bar.

I make my way over to the man and hand him the water. He looks at the water then he pulls the bag away from his face. His face showed relief and gratitude as he grabbed it. "Thanks again...." I look at him and flash him a small grin. "Hakguk." He raises and eyebrow and pronounces my name several times. He takes sips of water before he finally gets my name right.

"Hakguk...names Jake..." he takes another sip of water before speaking again. "Jake Sully." He holds out his hand so I shake it. "Pleasure to meet you." I grab my own water from my capsule then I go back to Jake and drink some water. "So how long have you been in the Avatar Program? I've only been in it for three or so years...wait now that I think about it...." I study his face a bit more then I snap my fingers. "Tommy you changed your name?"

He chuckles sadly and climbs out of his capsule. "So you've met him huh...yeah no I'm his brother...he um well died." My face pales a bit but then I look down and smile sadly. "Ah is that so...." I won't lie I had a huge crush on Tom...well back then. Now that I came out of cyro sleep my thoughts are all some what fuzzy.

"Yeah I'm just taking his place since the Avatar was so expensive and apparently since our genes are the same well I can control his Avatar?" He didn't sound sure but it did make sense. They are twins after all...it's just so odd that I've never heard Tom mention him before. "Make your way to the bottom of the ship where you will be strapped in as we enter Pandora's atmosphere." We look at each other and grab our belongings which they latch onto our capsules.

"Do you know where the bottom is?" Jake asks as I push myself from object to object on my quest to a big metal door. "Yeah it's just over there behind those metal doors." After a bit of struggling we make it to the doors,I crack it open and we float inside. "Yeah I hear voices." Jake speaks up while we make our descend further down.

"So how close were you to my brother?" I open another door which leads us to a room barely full of people who are taking their seats. "Umm fairly close I guess. I mean he is the one who helped me adjust to California." I find two available seats next to each other so I pull jake over. We place our bags under our chairs and sit down. I strap myself in and he does the same.

"So uh did he ever talk about me?" A man brings a wheel chair over and places it under Jake's chair. "Oh um my legs don't necessarily w-" I cut him off with my hand signaling I understood. He smiled at me so I just looked away.

His smile...his face...his personality...it all reminds me of Tom. Not because they look alike but I can see that they both share the same sense of humor and the same sense of thinking. Knowing the man next to me isn't the man I fell for hurts me. They may be twins but they aren't the same and it hurts me a lot. I want Tom...I really want him here with me. But I know better then to think that way.

Come on Hakguk pull yourself together...don't cry...don't cry. I take a deep breath and muster a smile of my own but I can't look at Jake. Not yet at least I just need to calm down for a bit. Deep breaths work right? I close my eyes and take steady breaths.

"You can't look at me huh?...just how close were you with my brother? Honestly." I glance at him and grunt. "Don't get grossed out." He simply nods. "Now he wasn't like this but I actually developed feelings for him." Jake looks at me then he tilts his head. "What's your full name?" I look away again and mutter. "Hm?" I roll my eyes and speak up. "Min Hakguk."

He grins and lays his head back. "Well now that I know I want you to know that even though Tommy is gone I'll be here alright?" I look over and nod. Suddenly our bodies get pushed back into our seats.

"We are entering Pandora!!!"
