"You like Collin!" Layla screamed with excitement.

"No way."

"Uh, yes way. Stop denying your feelings for him."

"I don't have feelings for him."

"Why did you hug him like that then?"

"Because I missed him."

"I did too but I didn't hug him like that."

"He's just a friend get over yourself." I said while rolling my eyes.

"His schools homecoming is tonight you should go."

"Ha stop it."

"I'll come with you."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, besides I'll bring Xavier."

"Are you two dating?"

"No, not yet."

"YET!?"

"I really like him."

"How long have you known him?"

"Since the 10th-grade year."

"Ohhhh."

"Oh shut up."

Layla's house:

We're on our phones.

"OH LOOK!" Layla yelled

"What?"

"Collin has pictures of his date to homecoming. She's really pretty."

"Let me see that."

I took the phone from her.

"Wow, she is pretty."

She's a brownskinned black girl will loose curls. Her eyes are dark brown and she's slim with an athletic toned body.

"Let's call her Bella 2.0." Layla said

"Yeah let's not."

"I like it."

"I don't. Why call her that?"

"I have no clue."

"South Shore high." I said to myself.

"Our rival school."

I stared at the phone.

"She's so pretty." I said

"Stop drooling."

"I'm not drooling over her."

"Come on now lesbihonest."

"I'm not a lesbian."

"Hm okay, I'm just saying."

I shook my head.

"Looks like this girl is Collin's girlfriend." Layla said

I read the comment under Collin's picture.

Naomi: 😘🤞🏾💓

Collin replied: 😍😌

"Oh good for him." I said

"That's it?"

"What do you want me to say?"

"So it's true? You have no feelings for him?"

"No, I have bigger problems to worry about."

"Jeez, he's different."
