November 2nd. The first day of school, at North Shore high, nothing like it. One more year and I'm out of here. My first class is in English. The only thing Mrs. Kink is talking about is what happened last year.

"I still can't believe that kid just pushed me to get home."

"Mrs. Kink that was last year and besides that kid was a freshman." Kameron said

"How do you know?"

"Freshmen are always running down the hallway so they won't be late to class."

Everyone laughed except me.

"There's no need for you to make fun of freshman's, you were one of those children running down the hallway to get to class."

"Ohhhh."

Everyone laughed

Mrs. Kink just wouldn't stop talking.

"Hugh." I said

"Excuse me, is there a problem?"

"No ma'am."

"Well, then you wouldn't mind keeping your mouth close?"

"Okay."

"Like I was saying before I was rudely interrupted..."

When the bell rang for lunch I went to my locker to put my book bag away.

"ISABELLA!?"

I turned around.

"OH MY GOD JESSICA and DAISY!"

We hugged each other.

"I didn't know you two go to this school."

"Yeah we just transferred, but we didn't know you go here."

"Well, I'm so glad you came to this school."

Noah walked by.

"Hey isn't that Noah?" Daisy asked

"Yeah."

"Hi, Noah."

"Oh hey, Jessica and Daisy."

He gave them a hug.

"Hi, Noah." I said

He walked away.

"Woah."

"Did he just ignore me?" I asked

"Wow, that was actual ghosting."

"Jess no one says ghosting anymore." Daisy said

"I do."

"Do you have lunch right now?" I asked

"Yeah, but we're skipping." Jessica said

"Want to come?"

"No thank you." I said

"Well see you all later."

"Bye love you."

"Love you too."

I walked into the lunchroom. Next time I'm packing a lunch because of course, the lunch line is big. Bigger than last year. Kamiya pushed passed me.

"Excuse you." I said

"Sorry, not sorry."

I grabbed my lunch and sat at an empty table. Layla walked up the my table.

"Hi."

"Hi, Layla." I said

"Why are you alone?"

"Because none of my friends are in this lunch."
