10 - Friend

"Well, well, well. Look who do we have here? Isn't this the famous New Girl, the Troublemaker? Hmm, I think you're too cute for your nickname. Nice to finally meet you in person," the biggest guy said while holding out his hand towards me.

"And you are?" I asked as I got up, not taking his hand. For some reason I didn't like him.

"Hahaha. I should've seen that one coming," he said as he shoved his hand in his pocket. "You don't know me? I'm pretty famous though," he continued as he cocked his head.

I shrugged.

"Woah, you're like a chili. Small, but spicy. I like it," he said. "I'm in the same class with your brother. Are you sure he never mentioned about me? He's such a good boy, but I wonder how come he has a sister who are famous for being a troublemaker?" he asked.

"What do you want?" I asked as I glared at him.  I didn't like the way he talked about my brother.

"(y/n)!" someone's calling me.

I looked back and saw Minhyun ran towards me.

"I've been looking for you. Let's go," he said as he grabbed my hand and dragged me away from the big guys.

"Awww, aren't they cute guys? The Troublemaker got herself a prince. Hey, old friend," he said as he looked at Minhyun. "It's getting more interesting. I'll let you guys go for now. Nice to meet you New Girl, and I'll see you around," he waved before we left, then he winked.

"Ewww. Gross. And who need your permission anyway," I said in my mind as I glared at him, totally disgusted.

"Did they hurt you?" Minhyun asked as he's checking on me after they left and I shook my head.

"How did you know I was here?" I asked.

"Daniel texted me that you're coming for me. So I went to look for you," he said.

"Thank you for saving me," I said and he blushed. Then we suddenly stopped talking, because I was shy too. "Sooo, shall we go?" I finally opened my mouth after sometime. Then he nodded.

We went to a nearby cinema. We weren't really talking when we walked there. We're pretty much just smiled and blushed.

Third party P.O.V

Both of you decided to watch a rom-com movie and it was pretty damn hilarious.

"Hahaha. It's so funny right?" Minhyun chuckled shifting his focus from the screen to you, but you didn't answer.

"What's bugging her?" he wondered in his mind when he looked at you zoning out.

End of Third party P.O.V

"I wonder what Daniel is doing right now. I bet he's playing with the broom again. Haha, that kid. I wonder if his back still hurt. I should've bought some patches for him. How could I leave him alone?" I wondered in my mind.

I was quite surprised when I felt a shook on my body lightly.

"Hmm?" I looked at him.

"Hhh. How could I think about Daniel when I'm on a date with Minhyun? Isn't this what I've always wanted?" I asked myself inside.

"Let's go out," he suggested.

"What? It's not even half of the movie. It's so funny too," I finally realized that the cinema was surrounded by laughter.

"It's too loud, and I'm hungry," he got up while rubbing his belly.

"Oh, okay," I agreed as I followed him.

At a restaurant nearby

"Do you want to go back to school?" Minhyun suddenly asked.

"Hmm?" I was surprised.

"You're worried about Daniel, aren't you?" he asked.

I looked down because I couldn't answer. I felt so bad for treating Minhyun that way.

"Hahaha. You're so cute," he ruffled my hair.

I looked up confusedly

"Phew, I can finally feel at ease around you. It's better this way," he said with a smile.

"Hmm?" I had no idea what he's talking about, but he did look more relaxed.

"I guess it's a good thing? Maybe?" I wondered in my mind.

"Let's finish our food, then I'll take you back to school. Ah, let's buy some food for Daniel too," he said.

Before I could response, he already ordered food for take away.

As we walked back to the school, I felt better and I saw Minhyun was constantly smiling. Finally we laughed when our eyes met, then joked around freely like a friend.

"Maybe I like Minhyun more as a friend. And I think he feels the same way," I said in my mind.

When we got to the classroom door, I saw Daniel was pinning Jojo on a wall. I gasped when she suddenly leaning closer to Daniel then kissed him.

I ran away from the classroom as quickly as I could, but Minhyun stopped me before I got to the front gate.

"Huff. You ran pretty fast," he said panting. "Don't jump into any conclusion. You should ask him first. I know him. It's probably nothing," he continued.

"Hahaha, you silly. Why would I ask him? He can do whatever he wants with anyone. It's not like we're together or anything," I looked away avoiding his gaze.

"Then why did you run away?" he asked.

"Exactly. Why did I run away?" I wondered in my mind.
