I don't know if I was anticipating tonight a lot but it came fast and I was nervous I was in class and at work thinking about it me and Georgia talked about it all day through text because she had to work late and wasn't going to be there to help me get ready can you say bummer? Not physically ready but mentally ready I was so fucking nervous I needed her here but I got this. I decided to wear something really simple some ripped jeans an off the shoulder top and some boots that were thigh high with a thick heel I was tall but lived for a killer heel that's why I only dated 6ft and up and Devon was well over 6ft even in my heels he towered over me but he wasn't an awkward height that drew too much attention he drew enough attention to demand respect. I wore my Chanel purse that was black and shiny I straightened my hair bone straight and parted it in a side part I did light makeup no foundation, no eyeshadow only concealer under my eyes lashes, brows, highlighter and of course lipgloss "fortune cookie" by Nyx which Devon seemed to like once it was all over his face the other night. I insisted on driving but he felt it was more polite for the man to drive his lady around. "Well I'm not your lady I'm a girl you just met so those rules don't apply to me I push my own wheels" I said mocking him "You was my lady since that day in the parking lot" he was just like me in so many ways he was quick with responses and always had an answer for my sarcasm I think I met my match only 4 days of knowing each other and he seemed so real but I still had my guard up. I heard the doorbell ring as I sprayed on some perfume and made my way downstairs I opened it and he was standing there with a teddy bear and a single rose I smiled and laughed because the teddy bear was wearing a shirt with his name on it. "Really? You are so extra,but thank you I love it so much" I set it on the round table in the foyer and turned off the lights and locked the house up. He held my hand as we walked to his car and he was driving the BMW I like the matte X6 I loved it so much. "I love your car so much I might copy you and get one, but not now though" I said looking at the 2 car garage "I'll have no place to put it" I giggled. "Well drive mines test it out to see if you like it" he said passing me the keys. I stopped and stared at him "You sure you wanna do that?" I asked him because he obviously didn't know who he was talking to I didn't drive like no regular little girl. "You do have your license right ?" he asked pulling the keys back and laughing I grabbed the keys out his hands like "come on" I got in the driver's seat and he didn't put on his seatbelt "you might wanna buckle up baby" I said putting my Chanel in his lap he couldn't stop laughing. I pulled out the parking spot slowly and proceeded off my street I was feeling the car out. I caught the grip of it and started getting comfortable behind his wheel I quickly studied the shifts and gears I even took over his Aux cord and was listening to my trap music which I always did when I drove I pretended he wasn't even there. Once the light turned green I took off onto the highway I was in and out of traffic passing everybody and rapping to lil uzi. "Oh shit okay I see you" he said smiling hard showing his white ass teeth that I loved. "No I see you holding on to that bar" we both busted out laughing and I kept cruising on the highway. This was a restaurant I was familiar with it was called star choice. We parked out front and went in we were seated immediately because Georgia booked us a table in my name. "You ate here before?" He asked looking at the menu. "Yeah a few times". "Tell me what's good on the menu". "Okay what I usually get is the lobster mac and fried chicken with a lobster roll and a side of crab legs" I said laughing cause that was a lot. "Okay So you just get everything on the menu so how you helping me?" We laughed so hard people started staring at us
"Shut up" I said lightly pushing him "And yes I'm getting all of that I usually bring most of it home plus I have to get food for Georgia well at least crabs" I told him "I love y'all bond it's dope you guys never leave each other out "he said " yeah she's kind of all I have" I said smiling. We ordered our food. When the food came he ordered oysters and lobster alfredo with a order of fried chicken I ordered everything I told him I was going get our table was looking like a small buffet we hardly even ate we just joked and enjoyed each other's company. "You ever tasted this before?" I said pointing to the lobster Mac. "Nah it taste good?" I took a fork and fed him some he liked it so much he almost finished my shit. It was so cute he kept asking me for more. I laughed at him because his face when I offered it seemed as if he was doubtful we took all the food to go and I ordered crab legs for Georgia and lobster Mac for me since he ate all mines. I offered to pay but of course he looked at me with that are you crazy face. He slapped his black card on the table the waiter even smiled we laughed at her because obviously it was her first time seeing one. She came back with the receipt and asked Devon how was his meal smiling all in his face showing all her gums I was confused like we both were not at the table. I grabbed his card and our receipt " Okay honey let's go we don't want to keep the babysitter waiting all night" I said grabbing my jacket and Chanel and brushing pass her. "You heard my wife the kids waiting" I heard him say
I laughed to myself as he grabbed the bags. He ran up to me like "yoooo what was that?"... "what was what?" I asked as if nothing had just happened "I'm your husband now?" He said with that big ass smile showing them teeth I loved again I was Lowkey keeping count. "Yeah to her you are I don't know why she thought it was okay to smile in my man face". I said walking towards the car he followed close behind "woah you called me your man". He said smiling like he just won an award. "So what?you called me your girl first" I said opening the car door. He put the food on the hood of the car and closed the door I just opened he pulled me in close and spun me around so that my back was bracing against the car but he was still holding my lower back I looked up at him as he looked down at me "why you keep playing with me?" He said but this time he wasn't smiling. "I don't know what you talking about" I said looking down at my shoes instead of in his eyes. "Am I your man or not ? Cause you definitely my girl." He said lifting my chin. "You don't think it's a little too soon we only known each other for 4 days I don't want to jump into nothing too quick" I said now starring in his eyes. "What rule book is there for finding the one you want to be with?" He was right there was none and I could be blocking a blessing. "None I guess you're right so do you wanna be my man?" I asked smiling. "I been your man since the day you met me I just wanted to hear you say it". He kissed me but I didn't last long "You taste like lobster" I said laughing "you too" he hugged me around my neck and and kissed my forehead. "Now get in the passenger seat you drive like somebody chasing you you not about to get me no ticket" he said and took the keys from me. "Okay boyfriend" he smiled and winked at me. On the ride home he held my hand the whole way the highway was empty we smiled most of the time and cracked jokes he carried the food to my door and kissed me goodnight. I wanted him stay but we both had shit to do in the morning.
