My heart is pounding as I'm completing the tasks that Adam assigned me.  I can't believe I was that daring and upfront with him.  I have no idea what possessed me to strip to my undies and lay across his desk.  But I do know one thing, I don't regret it one bit.

I think about where I should take him on a date. Somewhere expensive? Maybe. It is his style. But he's so used to eating lavish. So what better way to change things up a bit? I think a food truck is the way to go.  He will be completely surprised and I can't wait to see his face when he realizes our dinner is going to be outdoors.

As soon as I finish the last task on my list, I check the time and smile when I read that it's 6:30.  It's about time to leave and go on my date with Adam.  And I really can't wait.

I turn my computer off, gather my belongings and head to his office door, knocking on it.

"Come in."  His voice resonates.

I open the door and take a seat in a chair across his desk.  I frown when I realize he's on the phone with someone, which means he might take a while.

"Alright Gina, sounds good.  Bye."  He finishes, proving me wrong as he hangs up.

"Your sister right?"  I question, remembering the name coming up a few times.

He grins as he nods his head, "yes."  Something about Adam's persona has changed while I've been doing my work.  He has a stupid grin on his face and he's looking at me like I'm the only woman in the world.

"Is something up?"  I ask.

He shakes his head, turning his computer off.  "No, don't worry about it."

I give him a skeptical look, but decide to drop it.  "Oh...Kay."

"I'm anxious to see what you have in mind for tonight."  He comments, gathering his belongings.

Thinking about the cheap date I have planned, I couldn't help but smile and nod my head.  "I'm sure you'll love it."

"I sure hope so.  I will be really disappointed if I didn't."  He mumbles as he walks me out of his office.

"Oh yeah?  What would you do?"  I tease, knowing this is all game and jokes.

"Punish you."  He simply states, struggling to contain his smile himself.

"And what will that be?" I say as I press the button to get the elevator.

"It's a secret." He whispers in my ear.

"Is it now?"  I mumble, leaning into his face.

Nodding his head, he leans in and kisses me softly and passionately.  It was a perfect and blissful moment.  However the elevator dinged, opening the doors ruining our moment.

We got off and took the quick elevator ride to the garage.  "So can you tell me where you're taking us?"

I shake my head as I pull my car keys out of my purse and unlock the doors with them.  "No, I told you it was a surprise."

Adam opens the door for me and then walks over to the passenger side to get in.

"That's not fair. You know I would've told you where we were going." He complains.

Scoffing, I shake my head. "No you wouldn't! And you know it's true too!"

He lets a laugh escape his lips. "Yeah you're probably right."

" I know I'm right."  I declare, exaggerating my eye roll.  All he does is just laugh at that.

I let the conversation drop as I drive towards Fifth Avenue where it's food vendors galore.  It didn't take me long to find an open parking spot along the curb as I squeeze my Mini into it.
