We remain in bed and I call my mother to see if she is coming home soon. She tells me she'll be coming home tomorrow, and she is going to spend some time with Ava. I lie on Sam's stomach tracing my fingers along her thigh, it's been a long time since we spent any time like this and I'm enjoying it.

"I'm so happy for Nikki and Nicole." she says showing me a picture of the two of them, since that day the rain poured they've been as close as ever. I just nod, from her stomach, I'm really just happy she backs with me.

After a few hours of talking I begin to stir as she sleeps above me, I run my fingers up her inner thighs and she shifts positions. Samantha moans softly as my hand nears her center. I remember the first day I met her, I was coming to Barbados with so much anger in my heart, but one girl on a plane who I thought id never see again changed everything. I placed gentle kisses on her flank, moving slowly with every tender kiss. I feel her nails drag along my scalp slowly and I look up to see those brown eyes staring down at me that December afternoon. There is just something about Samantha and the hues of the afternoon which makes her look like an angel descending, and that's what she is to me.

"Hi baby" she greets calling me up to her with her eyes, I crawl up her body and hover above her as she pulls me down into a deep kiss,

"What time is it?" she asks, yawning lightly, rubbing her eyes and grinning at me,

"Just about 3:30" her eyes drift down my body to my member which is pressing into her stomach,

"Damn, I literally just woke up" she comments before pulling my ear to her lips, "We have all evening".

A few days past and things are great with Troy and I, we spend most days with each other. His grandfather was released from the hospital just in time for new years, I'm really glad he's alright. Their house has been packed with Ava and Mr.Williams being there also, my mother and father come over too for Old New's Night. After a rough start on the plane my mother and Ms.Stevens are actually getting along. I've never been happier in my entire life, my parents are together, my boyfriend's family loves me and I have the best boyfriend in the world. I help his mother with pouring out the champagne as we all watch the ball drop in New York City before Troy and I meet up with our friends by the Accra beach to watch the fireworks.

"Sam, could you hand me the other bottle?" Ava asks as she waves the empty bottle at me, I go to the kitchen and grab it quickly before going back to join them.

Everyone is smiling my mother and my father are sitting cozily on the couch while Ms.Stevens and Mr.Williams sitting across from them and she fed him cheesecake. They are all cozy with their significant other while I'm standing along hugging the champagne bottle, This sucks,

"Sam, where's my son?" she asks catching my awkward expression,

"He said he needed to do something before he came" I proclaim, Troy left about an hour ago very hastily, he had a little surprise for me. I watch my mother and father swap cake via a kiss and I decided that its time to go look for my babe.

I knock lightly on his door and push it open, he's at his desk writing, he is backing the door and I walk up behind him looking over his shoulder. I place a kiss on his cheek and a warm smile spreads across his face,

"Why has my boyfriend abandoned me?"

"You know what I had to do" he replies looking up at me,

"I know but still you're not done yet?" my lips push into a pout and I blink and him with puppy eyes,

"Stop it or you may get more than you bargained for" I laugh taking the notebook up,

A journey isn't always easy,

I started a journey,

Long,

Hard,

Painful.

All in all,

With every passing hour passing day, my journey continued,

Emotionally I was closed off,

Physically I had no choice,

And yet I wonder where I'd be,

Without it

Imagine leaving everything

Picking up a few pieces,

And leaving,

With a long dark road ahead,

No idea,

Where I'd be going,

No idea how I'd make it,

No idea, what was waiting ahead,

Before my journey could even begin.

I saw a light,

A little glimmer,

In the darkness,

Which was a smile,

A smile that id see,

Almost every day,

A happiness I'd feel,

Every moment,

My family,

My friend,

My girlfriend,

All contributed,

And I'm grateful,

For the greatest journey,

A Love Journey.

"You didn't have to put my name on it" I blush as he stands to face me, placing a tender kiss on my lips,

"I wanted to you helped I cant take all the credit."

He slowly pushes me against the wall and I drop the notebook, wrapping my arms around his neck and he pushes onto my body, I bite the flesh on his neck and he sighs with pleasure, bringing his hand under my shirt,

"TROYYYYYYYYYYYY! You're gonna miss the countdown!" we hear his mother shout,

"We'll finish this later." he says and we break our connection.

As we join them he gives me a playful pat on my behind, and his mother hands us two wine glasses.
