Love

Love is overrated.
It's predictable, boring.
The end is just as enticing as the beginning.
It's a vicious cycle.
An alluring story.
But it is the same.

There's ways to avoid the repetition,
sometimes.
Sometimes you're "meant for each other"
And sometimes you're not.
But it's something you shouldn't worry about.
Because you have no control at all.

You never really do.
It's sort of a cute little package
given to you on each birthday.
A promise of more control.
More control over your life.
Your choices
Your feelings
Your love.

But it's all an illusion.
And that's totally fine,
as long as you can handle it.
