Beneath you and I there is something else:
The loud rustling next door, the screaming, the laughing.
The jaunty walk against walls, the crooked smile in quiet elevators.

Behavior really is an odd thing, it's almost as if it wasn't constantly pressed into the back of their minds. Something so seemingly natural, yet carefully manipulated and tamed.

People are so afraid.

They laugh and smile but really they are afraid of their own mind; what they're capable of. Because then that would make them weird and unlikable, and unique and creative, and
revolutionary!

But that's just too ostentatious.

Yet different is encouraged, and being ironic is overrated.
