A Journey Without A Destination

I stood up quickly, my steps faltering a bit as I attempted to regain my coordination.

"Where are you going now?" She asked me, her eyes searching for any indication of purpose or direction (like I'd ever obtained either one of those anyways).

"Just for a walk, I don't know it's nice out," I reply with a usual amount of uncertainty.

I didn't know where I wanted to go, I just wanted to be somewhere else, to start here and end there. Wherever there happened to be, I believe that wasn't entirely up to myself in this scenario.

It was more endearing that way, I think.

Eva furrows her thin brow together before turning her attention back towards whatever was in front of her. Gratification arose in myself as I headed out the back door of the complex, taking that same gratification with me.
