I went for a walk in the park two days ago and ended up getting lost.

I walked four miles back to wherever I needed to end up presenting myself as and in doing so resulted in terrible burns and blisters on either one of my heels.

The pain was very much consistent, yet, I did nothing to take care of these wounds. I even wore the same pair of shoes the next day, pretending as if nothing was wrong at all. And of course I could feel my skin weathering away against my harsh leather boots, bleeding through my socks and settling at the bottom of the shoe.

Seemingly unbearable and unavoidable, however, I did nothing to ease the pain.

I simply ignore it, knowing that eventually it will cause more extensional and harrowing problems, but it's just so much easier to pretend everything was alright.
