There's a mirror, and a red plastic cup.

A dark room with a rose-colored lights

 beaming in the corner.

Below the window the lavender bushes house a family of fairies,

I believed.

Oh, I believed.

I am quiet and relentless.
I can't wait for sleep so I stay awake.

Then I dream during the day,

because there is no other way.

I must take what I can get.

I'm not over this feeling, tonight.

A dark mountain hiding the burning sun,

I will not go today I swear,

these feelings are everywhere.

Yeah.

A decade or so ago

I walked along such an easy path

I found a begonia sky along the way

and some terrible burning aftermath.

It's like I never wanted myself to succeed.

This inflamed passion paired with a starving greed.

This hungry need.

I do miss the lake beside my house

And everything else I loved back then.

Between defenses and obligations.

This is a horrible way to die.

There is so much beauty in the night

But my hours feed into the day

Because it is the only willing way.

To live.

And he's just a person

And she's just a voice

And that story you hate to live through

Is just...a chapter,

 this is just...a place.

I am quiet and relentless.
I can't wait for sleep so I stay awake.

Then I dream during the day,

because there is no other way.

I must take what I can get.

I'm not over this feeling, tonight.

A dark mountain hiding the burning sun,

I will not go today I swear,

these feelings are everywhere.

Yeah.
