Where there is a flame.... (spooky)

Where there is a flame someone's bound to get burned. Should have listened to that.

On December 7th Mary, Katie, Philip, Draco and I went camping in a nearby forest. We stopped and set up camp about half an hour after we made it, needless to say we wasted that half hour exploring, I picked friends who were just as curious as I was. We set up our tents and set out and organized our supplies from our toothbrushes to the fire supplies. We are going to hold off the fire till nightfall. Mary, Katie, and Philip went to go get a couple logs for when we were ready to start making fire. That left Draco and I alone . I walked around and accidentally brushed up against a plant. I flinched bit didn't make any noise. I just shook it off and walked back.

We were the two who didn't really talk much out of the group. We were friends but more like friends of friends in the same group. Let's just say it was awkward being alone together. We talked about how school was and life problems and how we wish we could just drop all of it. We laughed and got closer. They came back and they started the fire.

While Mary was talking with Katie and Phillip and Draco were talking I placed more logs on the fire. I was staring at it. Mesmerized by the warm bright beautiful flames. It pulled me in. I walked closer very very slowly. Like I was walking up to a wild animal. I held out my hand. I saw someone staring at me out of the blurry corners of my eyes.  I stepped closer and looked at the highest reach of a flame. I placed my hand out and wanted to touch it. Before I touched it, I was so close, before I touched it someone smacked my hand down. "What in Salazar are you doing?" I snapped out of it and looked at Draco.  "I was- I just- I" I couldn't finish. "You've gone mental haven't you?"
"I- I don't know." I shake my head. He shakes his head in disappointment and walks away. I look back at the fire in confusion. How did it do that? How did it mesmerize me so quickly? Why did I want to touch it? I sat down on the chair and watched the fire. It was so hard for me to not. I got up again. Walking and wanting to touch it. I walked close to it and felt the heat arise onto my hand. The flame hasn't hit me yet but I knew it was coming. I was just about to touch it when someone wrapped themselves around my waist and pulled me back. "Let go of me!" I boomed. The put me down and I looked at who picked me up. It was Draco. "Why the heck did you pull me!?" I roared. "You were about to touch the fire! Are you mental?"
"I was FINE."
We argued on, I got madder and madder.
"I'm fine! I WANTED to touch it!"
He then turned from angry to shocked. "What?!" I asked impatiently.
"Y-your eyes!" He said pointing to me. I ripped out the hand mirror that Katie had. I looked in it. My irises were completely red and seemingly flaming. "What is wrong with you?" Phillip asked.
"Nothings wrong with me! Do you not like me now? Am I not normal to you?"
"No but"
"But what Phillip?" I angrily asked.
"N-nothing."
"Exactly." I pounded.
Draco was staring at me.
"What do you want?" I turned to him.
"I'm trying to figure out what happened to you."
"Nothing happened to me. I'm normal!"
"No your not! Some thing happened to you! I think it's that cut on your leg."
"What cut?" Katie interfered.
"She cut her leg on a plant while you guys were gone."
"Where was the plant?"
Draco pointed to the section and she walked over to it.

Outside pov
"This is ignis equidem." Katie spoke.
Draco had a really confused face.
"It's Latin for fire lure." She informed.
"Ohhh." They all knowingly said.
She rolled her eyes and muttered "idiots." under her breath.
"I think I have the cure for it. Does anyone have like a spoon or something?" Katie handed her one and she pulled a small vile of a couple of plant leaves.
"What is that?" Phillip asked.
"aqua remedium." Katie informed.
"It's Latin for water cure." Draco caught on.
"Yeah." Katie said astonished.
"I took Latin for two years." He shrugged.
Katie mouthed an oh and continued to crush. As she was doing that water was being boiled over the fire. She finished up crushing them while y/n was staring at the fire. Draco and Phillip were watching her before she made an escape. Katie and Mary walked back over when they finished the cure drink. "I need someone to hold her so I an make her drink this."
Y/n squirmed as Phillip and Draco tried to keep her tight in their arms. Phillip got pushed over and passed out so Draco got strong. He pulled y/n forcefully into his arms and she couldn't move. Tears were streaming down her face as she was forced to drink the cure. After she finished the entire thing she gasped for air. "This will make her fall asleep quickly but it will make her normal again."

Your pov
I gasped for air as the warm liquid went down my throat. It was disgusting, tasted of burnt leaves and gross water. I felt normal again. I didn't even know that could happen. I felt someone's chest and Phillip, Mary and Katie were in front of me so that means Draco was holding me. Draco whispered in my ear making my spine tingle. "Shhh go to sleep. I know you're tired." Draco sat down but I stayed with him. "Oh yeah." Katie said remembering a side effect. "What?" Draco asked
"The cure causes slight attraction to whatever effects them first because the cure takes your mind off of the fire."
Draco smiled and cheekily said "thats okay, I like it anyway." He kissed me on the cheek and I blushed.
