Aphmau's P.O.V.
My eyes flutter open as I am greeted with the loud beeps of my alarm clock. Loud and obnoxious, so basically just like school. I peer over my nice, cozy blanket and see the time, 5:30. So school starts in an hour and a half.
I get up and head into the shower. I like showers, it's warm, welcoming, and it's bright and just nice. I quickly shower and change into black leggings, a light gray sweater, and black converse.
I pull back my hair into a braid going down my back, like usual. I have to make sure it doesn't get tangled in my horns.
Yes, I have horns. They're a blessing, but a curse. I love them, but I have to hide them. No one else has them, it's hard to deal with it sometimes. I can't let anyone see it. If they see it, they'll find out what I've been hiding for the past seven years.
I won't let it happen. I refuse to move again. They are white and twisted back. Sparkly, sometimes they turn red. Only if I'm extremely mad though. I have vampire teeth because I am part vampire. I'm a mix of a few different things. Vampire, werewolf, angel, devil, possibly more. You may be wondering, what makes me a werewolf? The answer is quite simply, hardly anything. It's my heart. Werewolves have one of the two types of hearts, golden, or black. Every other species just has a regular heart.
I have a golden one, encased in a black one. Your heart is part of your personality. Blackheart, black soul, your not a good person. Golden heart, golden soul, you couldn't be better. For me, I have a golden heart. But over the years, I have been training, working, to slowly encase my heart in black. Hide it basically.
I put my hood on and head down the hall to the kitchen. I live in a flat. I make waffles and pack my backpack. I butter my waffles and eat them. I've always loved waffles. I head to my training room. I've always had to be ready, I know they're coming for me. And when they're here, I'll be ready.
Because of who my mother and father are, people have always wanted me dead. To make matters worse, I have my horns. They're apart of me, but people will see it as just another reason to kill, 'the devil' or whatever they call me.
You see, in this world, they're multiple races. More than most people know of. I'm a part devil, part angel, and even more. It's a little hard to explain though. That's why I wear a cloak.
The horns show I'm a devil, but my eyes prove I'm also an angel. A mix, other things are mixed in too, but they're more subtle. If you look closely, my eyes have a tiny, yellow streak, in them both. That proves I'm part angel. A hybrid. People won't accept me.
In my training room, I head to a mat with a dummy and starting beating the dummy senseless. They found me last time, which is why I had to move. But it wasn't hard to convince me to move. I hated it there, just imagine this for a second;
you're walking through the halls of a school, and you hear whispers all around you, "I heard she wears a hood to hide her ugliness." "No way, I heard she murdered someone and she has to hide her face so she doesn't get caught." That's what it's been like. Every single school I've been too. This is my first year. I've been here for a few months. It's been a lovely school, I don't want to leave again.
It's ridiculous really, the insults, I mean. But then I heard this, "I bet she's a devil," Now, that didn't bother me very much since she was right. But to pure angels, that is the biggest insult, ever said. It can make an angel go from calm and collected, to getting ready to kill you.
Then everyone started saying it. Accusing me of being a devil. I know the truth though, they were all curious. You see, depending on the reaction I gave, it would be easy for them to tell if I was an angel or devil. So I didn't give them a reaction.
But those noisy littl-
I punch the dummy so hard, the head flies across the room. I rub the back of my neck awkwardly and get ready to head to school. I walk to school just to get some exercise in.
When I get there, I survey my surroundings. People filing in through the doors. Vampires, werewolves, devils, angels. Everyone. I walk to it confidently. You see, it's all in the way you walk. It can scream 'Eat me alive!' if you're not careful. As I enter, all the eyes drift to me. As usual. You learn to deal with it all, to be honest.
I'm walking to first period when some guy bumps into me. Ugh, it's him. That Aaron guy. Aarons pretty popular. I'm very observant, and I've noticed that he only has a few close friends, and they're all he hangs out with. They're the 'popular' guys.
There is Laurence. Lightly tanned skin, and sky blue eyes. Nice, definitely a Cassanova, basically a hopeless romantic. Then there's Garroth, a light golden skin color, and blue eyes like the ocean. Polite and one of the sweetest guys in the group. Then Dante, blue hair, blue eyes. He's the player. He makes all the girls swoon easily. In fact, all the guys do. Then there's Aaron. He's got beautifully tanned skin, and chocolate brown eyes. He's secretive. He hides himself.
I plan to find out why.
They are extremely hot, not that I would ever admit. I'm just simply expressing how everyone in the school agrees with that statement. Laurence is a devil, but he's one of the only nice ones. Dante's a werewolf, but he's nowhere near as rude as some of them are. Garroth's a vampire, I don't think he's bitten anyone here before.
Vampires need other people's blood to survive, I think he may feed off his friends sometimes. Then there is Aaron. He's an angel. I don't know, I feel like there's something else though. He doesn't seem like an angel.
He looks down at me with concern written all over his face, "Hey, I'm sorry, are you okay?"
I give him no other response but a head nod. But I can't tell if he noticed it or not. I step to his side and keep walking. My shoulder hits his on my way away.
I will find out about him, but he can't know about me.
I'm not moving again.
I'm not going to see him again.
