Reality for Some

Reality for Some

The bird broke its wing.

And it will no longer sing.

The dog died.

And the little girl who loved him cried.

The soldier gave it his all, he was willing to pay any cost.

And its his family who suffers the loss.

A farther swings his hard hand.

His child takes the blow and struggles to understand.

A robber shoots a man for twenty bucks.

As he yells for his wife to duck.

She watches her love take his final breath.

And now she waits for death.

A bad man takes a child's innocents.

Now mans law says his life should be spent.

Vengeance is mine says the lord.

But each human must make decisions of there own accord.

As a man cheats on his wife.

She prepares to take her own life.

Four children gang up to bully one.

The victim prays to god and wonders what he has ever done.

Some men steal what belongs to another.

As some choose to wage war among each other.

A sweet baby passes in her sleep.

Her mothers grief and pain will burn forever deep.

Is there a god and does he see.

Does he really care about you or me.

For a few, a new bright day may come.

But this is a harsh reality called life for some.
