I will finish our song

I will finish our song

I stand by your grave.

Your life was not mine to save.

I promise to remember all we went thru.

And I will finish our song for you.

We had the music of love.

Now all I have is you watching from above.

We didn't have each other that long.

In your arms is where I belong.

I miss your voice and your touch.

And sometimes I just want to give up.

But I can't, our love deserves better.

So I make my promises to you in this letter.

I will finish the life we had just started.

I will try to be happy, and heal my broken heart.

I will visit all the places we wanted to go.

I will see all the things you promised to show.

I will remember everything we shared.

And I know a piece of you will always be there.

Our music will go on forever more.

Because I could never close that door.

To our song there will never be an end.

We will sing together again.

So these are my promises to you baby.

Someday when I finish this life we will have all of eternity.
