eren woke up in the middle of night, the lightning was grumbling outside his window and he didn't feel like moving from his bed
as a crash was heard outside eren beseeched gods above to make him go to sleep but it was all in vain
it's funny, how eren strives to kill all the titans but is scared of simple thunder
he trembled, it was not cold, eren was just scared. he was sixteen years old and all he had was his heichou
eren crawled out of covers and padded to opposite room of his to his heichou's room, he knocked but heard nothing so he opened the door
"l-levi?" eren whispered but did not hear a response, he crawled on bed and saw heichou sleeping
levi had one hand under his head and his other arm was spread open on his side, like he was waiting for someone to lay down next to him
levi's room smelled delectable, like a hint of vanilla and milk chocolate frosting
eren was struck with consternation when he saw a flower garland on the bedside table, eren had made it few days ago
when he asked heichou to put on a garland made out of white flowers levi was hesitant and yelled at eren, but then he kissed eren and took the garland from him
eren was sure levi is gonna throw it away but he felt his tummy tingling when he saw that levi had kept it
"eren" levi mumbled in his sleep and eren froze, not breathing for few second before breathing out a huff of air slowly
"levi heichou?" eren asked quietly again but did not hear a response, eren lifted levi's free arm and crawled under it
"e-eren?" levi blinked few times, trying to get up
"you okay?" levi asked and rubbed eren's back, ruffling his hair
"now yeah" eren mumbled, he inched closer and levi decided to gratify him and pull him closer, snuggling eren
"you're so warm" levi whispered, his voice amazingly deep
eren's heard a 'badump' before he felt his heart accelerating
"so so warm" levi embraced him more, kissing eren's cheek and caressing his tummy
"although you can be haughty, little brat" levi smiled down at eren gently
eren looked up at him with doe eyes and levi smiled even more, it was rare seeing heichou smile
