this was the kind of terrified where you open your phone and see fifty missed calls from your mom and thirty from your dad
the moment when you know that you fucked up

except jungkook's terror was different, multiply the previous terror by ten and add two spoonfuls of devil's malice into it

"m-m-m" jungkook couldn't complete the question as his mom looked at him in despair
"m-m-m-mar-ry k-kim tae-hyung?" jungkook's voice was high, way too high for his own age
his voice 'dzined' across the room and it felt like it was so high-pitched that it could break a wine glass because of resonance
"aish, stop screeching!" his dad said coldly as he glared at jungkook, not amused by his son
"y-you understand what you're asking m-me?" jungkook tried again, wanting to throw something, someone, off the goddamn cliff
"yes, jungkook. we made a pact with kim family and you will have to marry their son to complete it" his dad said coldly again, his mom sitting there like a statue, not saying anything
bitch, say something, jungkook wanted to wail
"k-kim t-taehyung is a fucking devil in human skin!" jungkook shouted, his voice getting higher with every word
"don't you raise your voice at me, boy!" his dad shouted back and threw a glass at jungkook, jungkook bent down and glass went flying against the wall
"haneul!" his mom raised a voice at her husband but one glare was enough to shut her up
"you will marry taehyung, end of story!" his dad said and made it clear that this argument won't go any further than that
