6. I am Your Father

Percy's POV:

       All I did that day was go into the men's room and chat with Jason, Leo and a man named Frank. He was tall and he looked tough but inside he was soft and very kind.

       After dinner, I decided to take a stroll in the garden since I was stuck inside the whole day. Until I saw a light come out of somewhere far but i could still see the way. Then I saw a man in Bermuda shorts and black hair with sea green eyes like mine. He looked like he just came back from the beach.

     " Who are you?" I asked

    " My son, it is time for you to find out who you are and to meet the rest of your family" he replied, smiling

        At this point I was confused, why did he call me his son? Unless....he does have the same eyes and hair as me and their would be no other explanation as to him call me his son

   " Dad?" I asked 

  " I am your father Perseus Jackson" he said 

 " And why should I believe you"

" I know that you love the water Percy, and that your mother Sally Jackson is sick. I also know that you have been looking for the other half of this rock." He said showing me a rock

 Then I froze as I suddenly remembered that day

 Flashback:

        " Keep this rock with you Percy, when I come to find you I will have the other half" he said before leaving me with half a rock and a confused look on my face

End of Flashback:

  I slowly pull out the other half of the small rock from my pocket and i put the 2 halves together. I had kept it in my pocket the whole time because I thought that it was somehow important to me. They fit.

    " Dad!" I said before hugging him. He hugged me back and for once I felt safe. until I remembered something

   " Why did you leave us dad? Why did you choose to come back now?" I said angrily

" i am sorry percy, but I had to leave. Look, do you know the Ancient Greek myths about the gods and monsters?"

  " Yes, you were named after Poseidon, god of the seas"

" That is somewhat correct.  You see son, I am Poseidon, god of the seas"

  I can't  believe what he just said. No, he must be playing a trick in me. But, I always did feel a special connection to water, and it definitely didn't come from my mom or her parents.

  " prove it" i said

  He took me to a secret place and made sure no one was around.  He lifted his hands and water burst out of the lake.

  " Percy, you are a demigod, which means you have the same powers, though mine are way stronger. You just have to find it within you. Then, you will be able to speak to horses, I am sure you know that is because I created horses. You will be able to take control for he water, breathe underwater and stay dry. You can also do other things but you will have to discover them,"

 " are there other demigods like me dad?"

" yes, lots. There ar two camps for them but i will explain that later since you will be staying here for now. But you are the only son of mine in 200 years. that is because Zeus, hades and i made an oath not to have any more children with mortals since the children of the Big # were powerful. However your uncle Zeus and i have betrayed that promise as you can see. In fact there is a demigod in this castle" he said with a smirk

 " Really?! Who is it father, and who is their godly parent"

" Oh, you'll find out son, but now isn't the right time" he said, " in fact, there is a certain lady that  is going to pass by your room in 5 minutes" he winked then he disappeared
