Later that day Jackson drove us to my house and we settled down in my room with just about every snack we could find. Grapes, granola bars, cookies, and strawberries. Along with two Dr. Peppers.

"We need some music dude." Jackson slapped my arm.

"Okay, pick something." I said throwing a granola bar wrapper behind my shoulder.

"Really?" he gleamed. "Alicia and James never let me pick music."

"Yeah go ahead."

"Great." He pulled out his iPhone and started tapping the screen like crazy.

"I'm sure you'll agree with this one." He smiled.

I hugged my knees up to my chest and swayed to the familiar tune.

I've been thinking lately about you and me,

And all the questions left unanswered,

How it all could be.

And I hope you know,

You never left my head,

And if I ever let you down,

I'm sorry.

"I knew you would know it." Jackson smiled.

I tried to look at him, but I noticed he had tears in his eyes. I buried my face in my knees and broke down.

I see you around here lately,

You smile brighter than you should.

And me I've been so lonely,

I'm glad you're doing good.

'Cause I can't forget,

The way it used to be,

And if I ever let you down,

Well I'm sorry.

"What's wrong?" Jackson scooted beside me and slipped his arm around my waist.

"You tell me first." My watery eyes met his.

"I'm crying cause you are." He shook his head.

"Lies!" I said in a loud whisper. "Tell me the truth!"

"It wasn't exactly a lie, Megan. I hate to see people I care about cry."

"Yeah, but mine will probably take way more explaining." I wiped my cheek.

"So?" Jackson met my eyes again.

"Please.." I pleaded.

"Fine." He removed his arm and scooted in front of me. I knew he wanted eye contact, so that's exactly what I gave him.

Those eyes. You could fall right into them and drown into his ocean of pure blue. Like magic. I shivered.

"Megan," He let another tear fall. "What do you think of.."

"Of what?" I asked trying to get him to look back into my eyes. " You can tell me, Jackson. You can tell me anything."

"What do you think of.." He sighed. "Of homosexuals?"

"uhh.." I didn't know what to say. "Why?"

He broke down again. What just happened?

"Because, Megan!" He yelled as tears fell. "I'm..gay!"

"Oh." I felt the lump in my throat rise. I didn't know what else to do, so I just grabbed his hand, pulled him closer and rocked him in my arms.

Finally, his tears stopped. He sat up and wiped his face.
