Disclaimer: There are some parts in this chapter which I got from the Goblet of Fire. I'd just like to remind you that I don't own any of the Harry Potter or Percy Jackson characters. All credits go to J.K. Rowling and Rick Riordan.

~Harry’s POV~

“The champions’ families are invited to watch the final task, you know. This is simply a chance for you to greet them.”

I looked at Professor McGonagall, eye’s wide and mouth a teeny bit open. Hermione and Ron did, too. Families? The Dursleys couldn’t have come, could they?

Professor McGonagall sighed and walked out of the Hall. I gaped after her.

“What’s wrong, mate?” Jason asked, biting a piece of his toast. “So, your family’s here. Isn’t that great? They’d get to see you shine in the final task.” He smiled, although it looked as if it was forced.

Oh, right. Jason didn’t have his parents see him work really hard and become praetor of Camp Jupiter. Percy told me. Frank and Hazel, too, feel uncomfortable.

“Well, you see, lad…” Ron started explaining my situation with this so called ‘family’. I simply stare at the messy scrambled eggs on my plate. Did the Dursleys come here? No, of course they didn’t. Why would they?

“She doesn’t expect the Dursleys to turn up, does she?” I ask Ron and Hermione blankly. Somehow, I needed to get that out of my thoughts. I’d rather have the Dursleys stay home and not know anything about this, than come here and think of ways to embarrass me.

“Dunno. Hope not, though. I don’t want to see your uncle after what happened two years ago,” Ron said, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. “Harry, I’d better hurry, I’m gonna be late for Binns. See you later, guys. Good luck!”

“I’d better go, too, Harry,” Hermione said, standing up with Ginny. “I have to submit an essay before getting to class. I wish you the best of luck!” They both ran off out of the Great Hall in a hurry.

“What did Ron mean about that incident two years ago?” Piper asked, wiping her mouth with the napkin. I smile crept into my lips as the ‘incident’ replayed in my mind.

“Well, you see…”

--

“Wicked!” Jason, who was actually listening to my story, laughed so hard that tears sprung out of his eyes. Piper, Hazel, and Frank seemed to be enjoying the story, too.

As soon as the laughing died down, my plate was now rid of scrambled eggs. I turned to the Ravenclaw table and saw Fleur Delacour get up and join Cedric as he crossed to the side chamber and entered. Krum slouched off to join them shortly afterward.

I nervously tap my foot on the floor. I really didn’t want to go into the chamber. I had no family – no family who would turn up to see me risk my life, anyway.

“Go on, Harry,” Hazel ushered. “Who knows? Maybe a close relative would turn up.” The others gave me a reassuring look, and so, I get up and take my time fixing my Hogwarts robe.

“Harry, come on, they’re waiting for you!” I see Cedric’s head pop out from the side chamber. I give him a nod and a smile, and walk to the chamber, fully knowing that no one would be there for me and that Cedric just said that to try and make me feel a wee bit better.
