~Shadow's POV~

It was in the middle of the night when Dumbledore summoned us in his office. By us, I don't mean Harry and the others. I mean my fellow aurors. Well, not just aurors. Remus Lupin and Sirius Black were here, too. Wizards and witches who agree with Dumbledore about the Dark Lord rising again were all present.

A group of 6, powerful wizards and witches filled Dumbledore's office. We were all talking quite normally, but I can feel the heaviness of the air surrounding the room. Only one person dared to talk to me, and it was Tonks. Uhm, Nymphadora Tonks, rather. She was a young, cheerful metamorphagus who was only accepted as auror a year ago.

"Alright, everyone. Settle down, settle down," the calm voice of Dumbledore requested. "As you all remember, I have gathered you here in my office at exactly 12 midnight to discuss some dangerous matters at hand."

The room was silent. Everyone's eyes were focused on the Hogwarts headmaster, curious at what he will say.

"I reckon you all know about the incident in the Quidditch World Cup, I suppose?" he asked, putting his half-moon glasses into place. Everyone nodded, but said nothing.

"Now, we are here to discuss the stationing of aurors around the area to guard and look for signs of the cause of the incident. Of course, there will be a certain number of people who will be stationed outside the area and outside my protection," he said. "Sirius, I will assign you in the area around Hogsmeade village. Remus, you'll take care of Diagon Alley. Proudfoot, Dawlish, Tonks, and Shacklebolt, you four will monitor the north, east, west, and south of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts respectively. And lastly," Dumbledore looked at me," Shadow Malfoy, you will be assigned inside Hogwarts and in Little Hangleton."

Everyone looked shocked and gasped at my second station. Then, the whispering started.

"Little Hangleton? Albus, that is way too dangerous for Shadow. Here, let me trade stations with her instead," Sirius offered, looking worriedly at me.

Dumbledore raised his hand and said, "It's fine, Sirius. It's fine. Miss Malfoy will be able to handle her stations on her own. You did see her Auror exam, yes?" Sirius wasn't able to speak, so he nodded.

"But Professor, Little Hangleton is where..." Lupin's words trailed off. The other aurors agreed.

"It's okay," I spoke. Everyone's gaze turned to me. "I'll handle my stations," I said firmly.

Dumbledore looked convinced and proceeded. "All stations are to be guarded at once. Shadow, you will stay inside Hogwarts, your first station, during the Second Task. The day after the Second Task is finished, I want you to go to Little Hangleton. Send owls straight to my office for weekly reports. Everyone is to stay hidden and this mission is to be kept a secret.

"Alright, everyone, this gathering is dismissed. Go to sleep and take some rest. You must all be in your respective stations by 10 o'clock tomorrow. Thank you."

Everyone nodded and apparated away. Sirius had a short word with Dumbledore and left after.

"Shadow," Dumbledore called before I was about to exit the room.
