A plan set in motion

Start from the beginning

"well, those things were like the size of a large tree!"

"you didn't get near the water for a week"

"i was seven!" Hiccup whines. "uhuh" he smirks, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "And who was the one who screamed when a bug landed on his snout?"

Sigewaerd scoffs " It flew into my nose may i kindly remind you, and i didn't scream"

"sure" Hiccup says lightly. He swats her up the head with his wing, "Hey!" she protests, the dragon just chuckles. The auburn-haired female nuzzles against the warm, deep red body. Breathing in the familiar scent of her father, letting it comfort her as she gets lulled to sleep.

"Toothless! you stupid bulk of meat! get your scaley butt over here!" Yrsa screams, running after the black shadow, destroying the forest in his wake. "To the universal dragons if you don't go back to Hiccup right now i'll make sure you won't have any hatchlings!"

Suddenly he stops, turning around and snarls at her. His teeth bared, his pupils narrowed in rage. "Woah, easy big boy" He growls at her "hehehe... is that my lovely sister calling?"

Toothless perks up, his ears twitching trying to pick up the sound of his mate. When he hears none he glares at Yrsa. "Oh cry me a river and row away in your douchecanoe! i'm not the one who left my mate to break down just so I could knock down some trees" she snaps, "Yeah you better look sorry!...wait... did you hear that?"Yrsa shushes Toothless before he can say anything.

The leaves of the bushes rustle, a stench of sweat fills the air. "scaleless..." she whispers, both Toothless and herself crouch low to the ground. Toothless'  snout scrunched up in a snarl, teeth unsheeted.

A decent sized group of Vikings burst through the greenery. Axes, swords and other kinds of weapons clutched in their hands as they glare at Yrsa and Toothless. A man with a large, red beard steps forward.

Yrsa recognizes the man as Hiccup's self-proclaimed father, the man has a glint in his eyes which makes her tense in anticipation of an attack. Slowly a smirk takes over his face, "So... we have the pest that always hangs around my ...son and an overgrown lizard - who let me guess- also has ties with Hiccup"

Toothless hisses at the leader, seeing him as a threat. "Toothless, this is not the time to act the hero" Yrsa murmurs softly, not taking her eyes of the group. " He is a threat Yrsa, he must be eliminated" he replies with a growl. "At least wait until they make the first move, Hiccup won't be happy if you got injured because of your impatience"

 "...fine"

Stoick watched them converse with slight amusement, "...Get them" he says lightly to his subordinates. In just seconds the men lunge at the pair, "Shit!" Yrsa hisses as she narrowly dodges a hammer swinging towards her.

She quickly regains her footing and properly faces her opponent, "Well aren't you mothers prettiest" she mocks, staring at the blonde Viking. His face narrows further into a scowl, grip tightening on the handle of his hammer. Yrsa notices the slight twitch of the muscle in his arm, moments before the heavy metal comes towards her again.

She turns away, but her body doesn't fully coöperate as her ankle locks in place and in that fraction of a second the hammer catches her shoulder. The force of collision knocks her to the floor as she cries out in pain, clutching her shoulder.

'stupid scaleless body, get up' Yrsa grinds her teeth as she ignores the throbbing in her shoulder and gets up. Facing the man again, the lazy grin on his face ignites rage in her chest. Her eyes roam the physique of the man, he is buff as most of the scaleless warriors are. There isn't an obvious weakness, except the weight of the hammer that must obstruct some of his agility.

"Eek!" she yelps as she ducks, the hammer flying over her head. The gust of wind created from the metal pushing forward makes the weapon even more terrifying.

Taking her chance she rushes forward, delivering a blow to the unprotected side of the Viking. The blonde, still readjusting after his swing has no hopes of blocking. Although Yrsa's punch is not that strong, with the weight of his hammer to his disadvantage he topples over. His side painfully landing on the metal of his own weapon.

Before Yrsa can rejoice she feels a cool blade poking her in the back, "...really?" she whispers to herself.

Toothless isn't faring much better, as six guys pounce on him at once. He knocks two of them away with his tail, another two get blown away by his plasma blast, but he isn't fast enough to stop the sword-bearer or the one with an Atgeir* the sharp steel slicing the scales just above his shoulder blades.

A low hiss escapes the dragon before he slams his wing into his assailant, depriving him of air. Temporarily rendering him incapable of joining the fight, so Toothless can focus on the Atgeir. However, he takes too long, the point of the spear-like weapon sinking into the tender flesh of his side.

A howl.

Fury makes the Shadow-Blender see red as he tears his teeth into the Viking. The Atgeir still embedded in his side. Suddenly his attention is drawn away from the human in between his jaws, by another group of Vikings who jump on his back. Toothless drops the now limp man.

He bucks and makes sharp turns, snapping his bloody jaws at the Vikings who fell off.

Arrows start their course towards him, his wings swipe the arrows away some break, other litter the forest floor. A dull hit to his ankle joint brings him to the floor, immediately the Vikings pile on him, Making sure to keep his jaws shut.

He can only glare at the man that kneels in front of him. "Aye, you're not dead. That's good, you're my .... leverage so to speak" Stoick gets up, motioning with his hand towards some other men. They struggle to put on a muzzle and chain the dragon down, but they manage.

Yrsa is now tied up and looks at Toothless with pain "are you okay?" she asks quietly, her voice laced with concern. Toothless tries to speak with her through his eyes, that they're going after Hiccup, That he is not okay because he can't protect her.

But it doesn't seem to come across. "Start walking, i'll send a messenger to Hiccup when we arrive back at the village and lock these up"

"Mistress! Big trouble!" the Runt flies into the cave, The Changewing turns towards him. "What is it spark?"

"it's the Queen, She is advancing quicker than you had anticipated!"

The blue eyes of the Changewing narrow coldly, "is that so?"

"Yes, mistress!" Spark nods frantically, hoping to get his point across. His mistress' tail swishes behind her in annoyance and silence rage, She doesn't seem to be able to decide on what to do, in the end, she just sighs.

"Inform my brother, tell him we can't wait any longer. We must do this now, there is no other way, god i wish there was but there simply isn't"

"But the master will be enraged"

"I know, but don't worry he won't take it out on you. Tell him the news Spark, and make haste"

The Changewing watches solemnly as the tiny dragon flies away, "So the plan is forced to be set in motion huh..." she mutters to the sky, questioning no one but herself.

*an Atgeir is a spear, with some kind of axe thingy and when translated to English it is a Halberd
