Here they are, talking again, just like yesterday but now I'm also inside the office listening to their conversation.

"Okay, so you're both telling me that he's the son of my boss. Which means my boss is the king of this island. Why didn't he tell me that?" my dad asked, lifting his hand to his chin.

"Because he wants to be treated normally, just like the others."

"How nice."

"Sir, I'm still asking for permission to marry your daughter."  Kaleb created smoke and when the smoke disappeared, he changed into a suit and he was also holding a microphone and a box.  Kaleb started singing, I didn't know that he can sing beautifully!

Sir, I'm a bit nervous

'Bout being here today

Still not real sure what I'm going to say

So bare with me please

If I take up too much of your time,

See in this box is a gift for your youngest

She's my everything and all that I know is

It would be such a relief if I knew that we were on the same side

Very soon I'm hoping that I...

An orchestra suddenly appeared behind Kaleb, in just one blink, to continue the song.  I looked at him, he's so mesmerizing and his eyes are full of sincerity.

Can marry your daughter

And make her my wife

(Orchestra: I'll wait till forever.)

I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life

And give her the best of me 'till the day that I die, yeah

I'm gonna marry your princess

And make her my queen

(Orchestra: a real queen)

She'll be the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen

Can't wait to smile

When she walks down the isle

On the arm of her father

On the day that I marry your daughter

(Additional instrumental for message)

"Sir, I know that I'm asking too early but I wasn't talking about now. I'll wait for after college" Kaleb told my dad and continued singing.

She's been here every time

Since the day that we met

(Orchestra: I'm scared to death to think of what would happen if she ever left)

So never ever worry about me ever treating her bad

(Orchestra: I'll never hurt her and I'll always be by her side)

I've got most of my vows done so far

(Orchestra: So bring on the better or worse)

And tell death do us part

There's no doubt in my mind

It's time

I'm ready to start

I swear to you with all of my heart...

I'm gonna marry your daughter

And make her my wife

I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life

And give her the best of me 'till the day that I die

I'm gonna marry your daughter

And make her my wife

I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life

And give her the best of me 'till the day that I die, yeah

(Orchestra: And I mean everything that I sang.  Every single word connects to my heart.)

I'm gonna marry your princess

And make her queen

She'll be the most beautiful bride that I'll ever see

I can't wait to smile

As she walks down the isle

On the arm of her father

(Orchestra: Which is you.)

On the day that I marry your daughter

The first time I saw her

I swear I knew that I say I do

I'm gonna marry your daughter

And make her my wife

I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life

And give her the best of me 'till the day that I die

I'm gonna marry your princess

And make her my queen

She'll be the most beautiful bride that I'll ever see

I can't wait to smile

(Orchestra: Really can't wait but I shall wait.)

As she walks down the isle

On the arm of her father

On the day that I marry your daughter

Kaleb's voice softened, along with the orchestra.  They bowed all together then the microphone and the orchestra disappered.  My mouth was hanging open throughout the performance and as usual, Kaleb laughed at me.

I glared at him and asked, "Did you practice for that?"

"Not exactly. If you consider singing inside the shower practicing then yes."

"Well, well, Kaleb. As I said, I'll think about it but you sounded sincere and the way you look at Camille is the same way I look at her mother. Yes, you love her very much but it's still up to Camille to decide. You have my permission." my dad said, fixing his suit.

"Thank you sir." Kaleb smiled at my dad.

"Call me uncle Charles."

"Sure thing, Uncle Charles." Kaleb said, elaborating the "Uncle Charles".

I stood there as I watch them laugh at each other and they bid goodbye.  My dad told Kaleb to go first, Kaleb went out the door and went straight home, I guess.

"You're lucky to have him, Camille. He's pretty nice and I can see that he really loves you. For a prince, he's different and he's pretty lucky to have my pretty daughter." my dad smiled, his wrinkles beside the eyes deepened and I can see amusement on his face.  It's a good thing dad likes him, he usually shoos my suitors away.  Thank you, God.  I said a little prayer in my head.  Even if we have our own fantasy island, we still serve the same God who created us.
