"Damn Embry! I didn't think you had the balls to tell her!" Paul says when we walk back out onto the beach.
"You freaked out yet?" Jared asks.
"What that my boyfriend and all of his friends can turn into gigantic wolves? No, not really," I say.
"She's taking it better than I though!" Paul says.
"Way better than her cousin, that's for sure!" Jared says.
"I wonder why? Paul could've killed her!" Jake says.
"She slapped me? What was I suppose to do?" Paul says, getting defensive.
"Calm down like I told you to," Sam says, intervening the conversation. I give him a grateful smile.
"Why am I surrounded by idiots?" Embry mutters so that only I can hear.
"Because they're your friends, and you love them, plus you wouldn't want to be a lone wolf, would you?" I whisper to him.
He groans and says, "No, not really."
"You should head home before Charlie tries to cook something," Jake says to me.
I groan and say, "Fine!"
"I'll see you tomorrow? At Bella's graduation party?" Embry says.
"Yup, I'll see you there," I say. I give him a quick kiss, then jog over to Jake.
