Another school day.
I put on the necklace Harry gave me, and picked out an outfit.

Harry, as usual, was waiting for me down the stairs.
Mal and Evie stopped laughing at our conversation when their eyes fixed on him.
"You know, sometimes, you can be a royal pain. We wanna spend time with her too." Evie crossed her arms.
"There's nothing royal about me, dearie." Harry winked.
"I'll see you guys at school." I waved off Carlos, Evie, Jay, Mal, and the parents as I was out the door.
"Wait! Are those my heels?" Evie yelled.
"Bye Evie!"
"Please don't hurt my babies!" She cried.
I laughed.
"Today we have Hateful Heart, since it's day 5." Harry said.
"Really? I can never remember."
"Oh, and father was all too eager to help me write an essay on how dreadful that flying little pixie dust using elf is." Harry gritted his teeth.
"Damn it! I didn't finish my paper on Rapunzel."
"And we...?"
"Don't care. Right." I smiled.
"Amazing job!" He clapped.
I tried to grab his hand, but he refused. "Not here. All of my father's crewmen are here."
I rolled my eyes and stepped away about six feet.
"This better?" I almost yelled.
He made the 👌 sign and I groaned.
He didn't even realize when I walked back towards Mal and the others's route because he caught his father polishing his hook.
"Trashy boyfriend abandon you again?" Mal pouted.
I nodded. "But more like I abandoned him."
"I don't understand why you keep going after that guy." Jay shook his head.
"It's called love, Jay." I smiled at the ground.
"Love only when you're alone isn't love. By then it's just attention." Carlos butted in.
"Stay out of it!" We yelled.
He put his hands up in defense. Evie wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
"You deserve so much better." She stopped to look me in the eyes.
"You know that?" She asked. She looked at me like she thought I was insane.
"I'm gonna go pick up Dizzy to drop her off. Come with me?" She asked.
I nodded and walked with her.
"I love you a lot, Grace."
"I love you too." I smiled.
"I hate seeing you with such a loser. It breaks my heart."
I rolled my eyes. "Look what he gave me last night." I gushed.
"Half a shilling at Trader Joe's." She said, displeased.
"Nothing is good enough for you because you want it badly." I grumbled.
She scoffed.
"Hey Dizzy!" I hugged her.
"Hey Grace! Hi Evie!" She pulled us both in a big hug.
We continued on our way to school. Dizzy looked sad.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"A few nights ago, Harry came in and stole the money I made on a style for Gaston."
Evie and I gasped.
Evie looked at me.
The money Harry stole is what he used to buy my necklace.
"Have a good day, Dizzy!" Me and Evie called as Dizzy waved and went in the entrance the middle grades entrance went through.
"How can I wear this?" I looked down at my neck.
"You don't." She reached for it. I slapped her hand away.
"Stop!"
"What? That belongs to Dizzy!"
"There's a lot of meaning that he explained behind this necklace." I cautioned.
She rolled her eyes. "I can't believe you. What mysterious meaning is behind that necklace?" She smirked.
I looked down. "It's between me and him."
Someone covered their hands over my eyes and Evie growled.
"Based on Evie's reaction, it must be my very handsome but yet very much an asshole boyfriend."
Harry uncovered my eyes.
"If you wouldn't of said handsome you'd be quite accurate." Evie laughed.
"Run along, heartbreaker." Harry flicked his hand. Evie crossed her arms and stomped off.
"You dick!" I pushed him and got a glare from a teacher.
He almost fell over.
"You're getting stronger, my love." He smiled.
"Don't avoid what I just said." I folded my arms.
"What ever do you mean?"
"You stole money from Dizzy!" I screamed.
"I did not!" He yelled in my face.
Everyone was watching.
"She came to me crying about it today! Don't lie!" I yelled.
"I'm not lying!" He swore.
"I swear on my mother's grave." He got down to his knees and kissed my hand.
I had a single tear fall onto his hat.
"I don't want to be with you anymore, Harry."
"It's alright love, we can take a little bre—"
"For good." I said sternly and pulled my hand away. He was still on the ground.
"You see me right now? I'm on the ground, looking helpless and weak, in front of tons of people. My peers. And I'm showing weakness, Grace. I can change." He begged.
I shook my head. "I need to go."
I ran away.
Leaving Harry there, "helpless and weak", in the middle of the courtyard.
