CHAPTER 13   THE PARTY -  RUSTY'S POV

RUSTY'S POV:

Oh no!  5 PM na pala!  Dalawang oras na lang, darating na ang mga bisita.   For some reason, I wanted to host a great party this year.   In the past years, it wasn't really a big deal for me.   But this time, I want it to be memorable for all of us since we're graduating High School this school year.   

My friends were true to their words.  They really worked their butts off too.   I know for sure they want to impress the girls.  

"Rusty!  Question.  Why did you decide to throw a big party all of a sudden.   I thought you didn't care?" asked Kokeng.

"Are you naive?  Of course dahil pupunta ang mga first section girls noh!  And he invited Samotny personally," said Theodore.  "Pero ayaw niyang invite sila Eunice and her friends.  Mas ok sana, the more the merrier.

"Ows?  Bakit naman ayaw ni bossing?"tanong naman ni Andrew.

"Kasi baka daw ma-out of place.  This party is for our batch lang daw, no outsiders.   But I have this feeling that our friend is just interested in someone else," Theodore replied.

"Hoy!  Kung anu-ano na naman ang mga pinagsasasabi niyo diyan.   Let's get back to work.  Marami pang dapat ayusin."   Tsk!  Kung anu-ano na naman ang mga pinag-iiisip netong mga ito.  

Marami kayang darating?   Darating kaya ang mga first section girls?   I gave Samotny my address yesterday.  Funny, I felt a thrill of excitement when she said she was coming.   I had a chance to look at her face closely when I handed her the paper.   Makinis talaga ang skin niya but it was all red again.  Haha!   I hope she's coming tonight.   Why am I looking forward to see her?!

We're just finishing up when the guests started coming.    Marami ng dumarating.   Oh no!  I haven't showered yet!   Amoy barbecue pa ako.   Nandiyan na ang mga Buloys.   Some of the girls are here too.   Oh, some of the first section girls are here na rin.   Pero bakit parang kulang sila?

"Hmmm...mukhang may hinahanap ka yata Rusty?" sabi ni Theodore.

"Huh?  I'm just checking the guests."

Then Theodore elbowed me. "Oh, there she is....."

I turned to see where he's pointing at.   Then I saw Samotny come in.   She looks so cute in her outfit and she's wearing a skirt!  Wait, it looks like it's a pair of shorts.  Whatever, I don't really know what girls wear these days.  But I've never seen her in a skirt before.  Those legs again!  Ang kinis talaga.   

"Ahem ahem!   Rusty,  baka may pumasok na bubuyog sa bunganga mo.   Pakisara naman," sabi ni Theodore then he smirked.

I closed my mouth and gulped.    What is happening to me?!  The mere presence of her makes my heart flutter,  especially tonight.   

"Why don't you go and greet your guests?" suggested Theodore.

"Wait, I haven't showered yet.  I'll have a quick one first then I'll be back.   Can you take care of them for me?"

"Sure.  No problem.   Leave it up to me," Theodore replied and gave me another wink.

While in the shower, I heard some voices outside.   Sino na naman kaya ang nasa kwarto ko?   Parang boses ni Theodore.   I'd better hurry up so that I can entertain my guests.
