Chapter 10

'We can talk later if you want,' Serenity's voice penetrates through my mind block. I stare at her incredulously, but she was already talking to Tasha. How was she able to get past my mind block? Only the most powerful supernatural-

Witch.

I sniff the air casually and huff when I can't sense anything. If Serenity is a witch, then how'd she get on the land?

Witches were basically banned from the land from a war between our ancestors. It was the biggest battle in history! Werewolves didn't want the witches to be using their manipulative powers against them, so they did the most "logical" thing and started to kill them off. There was no "can you please move somewhere else" or "you need to pack up your stuff". Just a bunch of warriors went out and started burning the witches. But the witches didn't just wait for death to come upon them. Oh no. They brought out the big boom boom and retaliated. You must think that the werewolves were all to blame for this catastrophe. Well the witches did some messed up things too. They used to kidnap the baby pups and bring them back dead with a message carved into their disfigured stomachs. So at the end of the war we barely ended up winning and banished the witches from ever entering werewolf or shifter land again.

I've had a couple of witch friends back in the day, so I won't be suspicious of Serenity until I have to. But that does not mean I will put my guard down.

I pushed all of my thoughts away and focused on the current conversation they were having. As I learned more about them I became less tense and more relaxed with their presence. I learned that Tasha had a killer sense of style and was actually a designer for Vogue magazine. I was amazed by how talented she was and how she was so young. Taylor was a genius in technology. He could hack into any database within minutes. Serenity was a black belt in karate. Remind me never to get on her bad side. Tyler was a really talented singer. He started singing, Counting Stars by One Republic and it was awesome. It was like we were at a concert. And lastly there was Avery. The best thing she was good at was disguises. She did this impression of Drake and I almost fell out of my seat.

I'm pretty sure Tasha and Taylor have something going on because of the playful flirting that they were doing. I raised a brow a Avery and she just smiled knowingly.

"So Ivy what's your secret talent?" Tyler asks suggestively wigging his eyebrows. Serenity smacked him upside the head, while I rolled my eyes. The others looked at me expectantly while I racked my brain for an answer. I couldn't really tell them,' oh my special talent? Well I kill vampires for a living, you know no biggie,'

"Um-I can kickass once and awhile," I say smiling alittle. They accepted my answer and went back to talking about random stuff.

So we were just talking and suddenly this dark cloud passed over our table. I look up to see the wicked bitch of the west standing over our table with her little crew.

I raise an eyebrow and ask," Is there something you need," with a fake smile upon my lips. She scowls and points a long clawed finger at me.

"You need to keep your hoe paws off my man," she says trying to threatening. Hold up did she just say hoe paws?

"Um excuse you but I think your legs are more open then a canyon honey so don't pointing any thing on me. And secondly I don't give a shit about your 'man' he's not my type and frankly if you don't believe I don't care you can shove that up the parking lot you call a vagina," I say to her with a nasty sneer. Hey I'm a bitch what can I say. She just brings out the worst in me, ugh it makes me so infuriated.

I hear laughter all around me and I smile a little. Serves her right. Dianne's face turns red as a cherry and she stomps off with her crew following after her. But not before giving me a warning.

"If you don't stay away from Drake, there will be hell to pay. I wouldn't act so tough, girl. It could land you 6 ft under," she says with a snarl and huffs off. Whoa. Looks like she be throwing out death threats. I turn and shake my head while looking at my friends.

"Dude are you okay, that was pretty intense," Tasha asks me concern lacing her tone.

"Yeah just wow, I knew girls got a little catty when it came to a boy but that was unexpected," I say truthfully. The bitch at threatened me and it didn't settle well with Catalina.

"Do you want me to kick her ass," Serenity asks excitement shining in her big eyes.

I laugh and shake my head no. She pouts making me laugh harder. Avery scoffs and shakes her head.

"She's a bitch don't let her get to you,"

"I know," I say biting my lip. I try to not let not get to me but she's hella scary when she wants to be. The bell rings interrupting what Avery was going to say and we all get up to go to our next class.

I just wished the day would be over already.
