A Meeting (Drake)

<What to you want?> Nathan

<Meet me? Park downtown? 4:30 tomorrow.> Drake

<Can't. Work. How the hell did you find my Facebook page?> Nathan

<Really? You're friends with Clyde. It's not hard find the friends of someone.> Drake

<Uhg. Stalker much?> Nathan

<Maybe. But only for those I want to talk to.> Drake

<Shithead. Wednesday. 5pm. Southside Park.> Nathan

<Okay. ^_^> Drake

I smiled slightly. I missed Nathan a lot. He was funny, more down to earth than me, but he was still great to be around.

A knock on the door startled me so much I hit my knee on my desk. "Ow," I muttered.

"Drake?" Adam called hesitantly. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah!" I hobbled to my door and opened it. "You just startled me."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Adam apologized. "I was just worried. You seemed a bit out of it tonight."

"I'm fine, Adam. You don't have to worry about me." I ruffled his hair. "You should worry less."

"I can't help but worry though," he said.

"I know. If you really want to know, I'm trying to connect back with a friend. I'm just kinda worried he'll not want to."

"Oh, okay."

"Adam!" I heard Theo call from the living room.

"You should join us," Adam offered. "Owen popped some popcorn and we're watching movies."

"Ah. I'm okay here. Maybe tomorrow night?" I smiled apologetically.

"Okay. Know that we're all here for you, Drake," Adam told me.

"Okay." I closed my door as Adam walked away, then hopped onto my computer.

<Hey. You still up?> Drake

<What do you want now?> Nathan

<Meet me tonight? I need out of the house.> Drake

<Where?> Nathan

"Hey," I said nervously as I walked up to him.

Nathan looked at me with a dead expression. The end of a lit cigarette casting a dim orange glow on his face.

"Hi," he grunted.

I looked down nervously. "Remember this park?"

Nathan looked around. "Yeah," he said. "We came here when we were kids."

"Yeah," I sighed. "Ah, simple times."

"Simple times," he agreed. Nate spit out his cig and stomped it out. "So you wanted to talk?"

"I'm sorry I haven't talked to you."

"Really? I came all this way for an apology?"
