I'M SORRY BUT YANDERE-KUN WON THAT ONE
Yandere-chan had a few good lines but damn... That dude killed it!
First off, it's true that newcomers to the game won't like a male yandere being the protagonist but most of the fanbase that were from the first year or two of development have basically been begging for a male version of Ayano since (SPOILER ALERT!) the player can choose Senpai's gender at the beginning of the game. Even on YandereDev's website there's a character slot for Yandere-kun! So basically: the fans won't care and Yandere-kun will still be a thing (whether canon or fanmade)
Second, that ending just sent shivers down my spine and HOLY HYLIA THAT GUARANTEED HIS VICTORY CAUSE IT WAS JUST SO COOL.
Basically, Ayano lost. Yandere-kun won. At least in my opinion. :3
