Warning: there is some self harm mentioned in this book so if you're triggered, I apologize but I wanted to show you all how miserable Ella was.

Eva's POV

I sighed as I walked into my house. I smiled at my parents who were seated in the living room and sat down beside them with a huff. It was silent between all of us as we listened to the chatter on the TV. I found myself brushing my thumbs over my forearms, lightly feeling the misshapen skin that was now scarred on my arms. Tears brimmed in my eyes when I recounted how miserable I used to be. How miserable Harry and his friends made me.

I didn't want to forgive him now that I remembered what I had done to myself because of him.

~Flashback~

I sighed as I closed my locker, looking for Evan down the hall. I was wearing a new dress today. One that he specifically told me to buy.

And by told me, I mean he took the dress out of my hand and bought it for me. It was a white top half with a black skirt. It was connected by a black silk belt-like feature and overall, it made me feel really cute. The top was long sleeved, which I highly appreciated for reasons of my own.

So here I was, standing in the hallway, feeling incredibly self conscious about the way I look while I waited for my best friend

So here I was, standing in the hallway, feeling incredibly self conscious about the way I look while I waited for my best friend. While I was waiting by my locker, I turned my head when I heard some chatter coming from down the other end of the crowded hall. I sighed and looked down when I saw who it was, before looking back up at him again.

Harry stood by his locker, Madison next to him as she clung to his side, arm wrapped around his waist while his was around her shoulder. Madison was facing me and Harry's back was towards me as they leaned against his locker. As Madison was leaning up to kiss Harry, she glanced behind him and locked her gaze with mine. I took in a quick breath before quickly looking down, fumbling with my binders. I turned my head and tried to focus on spotting Evan instead.

I closed my eyes and winced when I heard someone clear their throat behind me. I timidly turned around and looked up slowly, meeting gazes with Harry and Madison.

Harry had his hand on Madison's waist and Madison was sneering at me as she looked me up and down. Harry, however, didn't say a word. He just stared at me with this look in his eye.

"What the hell are you wearing," Madison laughed. I blushed and looked down, holding my binders to my chest.

"You look like a fucking nun. Doesn't she babe?" Madison nudged Harry. I looked up, tears brimming my eyes and I stared at him. His eyes softened slightly at my state but he quickly stiffened and cleared his throat. A sly smirk appeared on his lips as he looked at Maddie, not saying anything. He then proceeded to look down and ignore my gaze.

"Well? Doesn't she?" Madison pressed. Harry sighed and looked back up at me, nodding slowly.

"She does," he replied, "she looks like a try hard."
