I was sitting on my bed beside Alexis who was still unconscious. Why was I sitting here? Well I'll tell you.
Not only do I care about my friend, but Rose and Alison agreed that with my shoulder shattered to pieces I shouldn't do anything, so I had my arm in one of those straps that holds it from my shoulder down at my torso.
Because of which, Emma thought it would be funny to make my legs completely numb so I couldn't get up. Bells and Kat had to bring me food. I was only allowed to get up to go to the bathroom.
I wanted to go see Kira who still hadn't woken up yet. Rose, Aviri and Alison were at her side 24/7 and I wanted to be there too. It had been two days and the only progress was that her wound had healed.
I wished it was my left shoulder that was broken so I could draw or something, anything! But instead I had to sit here and watch movies. With one arm I couldn't even play games.
"Let me just go see her." I asked.
No. Rose and Alison want you off your feet.
"They just told me not to do anything that would strain it! I can walk around! It's not my leg that's broken!" I growled.
The silver bolt prevents it from healing quickly, so it would take ages to heal.
Not only that, but with my Awakening done, other than Emma's voice in my head, I could hear this wolf barking and howling at me, telling me to get off my ass. I guessed that Emma couldn't hear it because she never said anything about it.
That was your wolf? Damn, I just thought that was you being a whiny bitch.
"You are such an ass hole." I growled. "You want to keep me on the bed? Go get me a soda."
Ask nicely.
"Please oh dear Ass Hole. Get me a soda."
You are such a bitch.
"And you're a hypocrite."
Point made.
She materialized beside the bed and opened the mini-fridge. "Still, you can just relax you know, your mom isn't gonna die she's- HEY!" She turned just as I ran out the door.
I could hear her running after me, so I put all my speed into it and skidded to a stop just inside the garden.
"Myra? What are you doing up?" Alison asked.
Emma stopped beside me. "I'm so sorry, she tricked me. Here I'll bring her right back." She grabbed my good arm which I shrugged her off of.
"I want to be here when she wakes up!" I growled.
"But you're hurt!" Emma complained.
"I don't care! That's my mother!" I told her. She looked at me like I just crushed her. "Look... I'm sorry for yelling." I took her hand. "But I can't just sit in bed. I need to see her."
She smiled up at me and nodded, though I could see she was still hurt, so I hugged her before I jogged over to Kira.
She wasn't breathing, but her heart was still beating. I took hold of her hand tightly.
"She's apparently aware because I can still hear her thoughts, but she can't control her body." Alison said.
"I haven't seen this magic for almost a 6,000 years." Rose said. "And I thought only Stargazers knew this kind of magic, besides myself."
"You do know how to fix it, right?" I asked.
"Its not about how, its about how long." Rose explained. "The spell is designed to work overtime to hold her in her sleep. You can't cure it."
"But you said you're helping her."
"I am. I'm accelerating the spell. Which is hard to do without accelerating her body." Rose explained. "I don't know when she'll wake, but it could be any time now."
I leaned in towards Kira's ear. "You have to get up... I need you mère. I really do. I don't want to worry anymore."
Her lungs sucked in air and her eyes opened, but other than that she didn't move her body. This action caused everyone to flinch.
"Kira!? Can you hear me?" Aviri called. She was now standing over Kira's body looking down at her.
Kira's eyes locked on Aviri before they turned into a glare.
"You don't have to be an ass about it!" Aviri barked. "...I was too worried about you! I'm always worried about you!... You're daughter is here yes." She pointed. "And your wife is right there. Seeing as you love her more than your own bloody sister!...I know...I know... but you're still an ass." She sat back down and crossed her arms. I looked at Alison for an answer but she just smiled and shrugged.
I tightened my grip on Kira's hand. "You have to get up soon mère. Who else is going to be my punching bag?" I told her.
Her eyes locked on me and I touched my forehead against her's. This was the easiest way to get into someone's mind.
I'd rather not be a punching bag. She told me.
"You make a good punching bag." I told her. "But I still need you up. I enjoy my morning hugs."
Is Alexis okay?
"She's fine. I went through my awakening, but with help from Amber I made her immortal... so she'll be fine. She's still sleeping it off." I explained. "I could still use your guidance you know."
Alison's immortal too you know. She went through the same thing.
"I know she did. But it's my excuse to bitch at you to get off your ass." I added.
I wish I could. I really, really do. I hate being down.
"I see where I got it from. I'm supposed to be laying down because of my shoulder."
It's just your shoulder! If it was your leg I could understand, but not your arm. Who the hell told you to lay down?
"Your wife." Alison answered.
What the hell are you still doing on your feet Myra?! Go lay down now before you strain yourself!
I couldn't hold back my laugh. "Someone's afraid of the big bad wolf."
Petrified actually.
"I'm sure you'll live."
I'd rather stay dead to be honest.
"You have a beating heart mère. You're alive."
Are you sure about that? Cuz I feel pretty dead.
"You're awake though aren't you? That means we're making progress. The sooner you're up, the better."
I will be. And when I get up, I'm gonna break your spine with a hug.
I smiled. "Can't wait... You won't actually break my spine will you?"
Depends on how I feel.
I sighed and kissed her forehead. "I suppose I'll go back to my room then."
Alison stood up and stepped towards me. "You can go for a walk if you want." She said.
I smirked. "Nah... I should wait for Alexis to wake up. But thanks." I hugged her and she hugged me back.
"Take care of her will you? And help her out. Waking up as an immortal for the first time, isn't like waking up. It really sucks." She explained.
"I'll keep that in mind." I smiled. Emma and I headed back upstairs to my room.
